Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani laid the foundation stone of Shri K.K Patel super specialty hospital worth Rs 125 crore at Bhuj. The hospital will be managed by Shri Kutchi Leuva Patel Education and Medical Trust.
During his address, the CM said, “In an effort to ensure the provision of medical and health facilities to people in the most remote areas of Gujarat, the state government, under the New Health Policy, provides a 25% subsidy to an organization that establishes a super specialty hospital. In addition to that, the state government shall provide financial assistance for the management of the hospital. I also urge the organization to think on the lines of providing medical treatment to the poor under MA Amrutam Yojana.”
Talking about the efforts made by the state government to provide medical education in the state, he said that the medical seats in colleges have increased from 900 to 5,500 at present. Further, schemes like MA Amrutam have proved to be a blessing for the poor in availing free medical treatments, he added.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitin Patel praised the hardworking people of Kutch and said, “I am confident that the hospital will result in highlighting Kutch on the map of Gujarat in the field of medicine and healthcare. The hospital will not only provide healthcare facilities to the people of Patel community but for the entire population of the region.”
