Guj CM and Union Railway Minister dedicated Nation’s First Railway University in Vadodara

    Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today categorically stated that cultural city of Vadodara is all set to become a hub of modern railway services and railway training institutions.

    The Chief Minister was speaking at a function organized to dedicate to people the world’s third and India’s first ‘National Railway and Transport Institution’ (NRATI) Railway World University at Lalbaug in Vadodara. The function was also attended by Union Railway Minister Mr. Piyush Goyal and he also released a booklet narrating the growth story of railway services in four years in Gujarat.

    Mr. Rupani said that Gujarat is prepared to welcome the services of ‘Bullet Train’ and ‘High Speed Railways’ and the state government will offer all possible supports and cooperation in fulfilling such projects. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi changes are happening in all the sectors and a “New India” is building.

    He expressed a hope that the students of the NRATI will make India a topper in transport management. He also thanked Mr. Modi for setting-up the nation’s first railway university in Vadodara.

    Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Goyal said that the face of railway is changing in last five years with two-and-half times more investments.

    He said that in the phase manner the UGC had allocated budget of Rs. 421-Crore in setting up the NRATI.

    The occasion was also graced by Member of Parliament Mrs. Ranjanben Bhatt, Vadodara City Mayor Dr. Jigishaben Sheth, MLAs – Mr. Yogesh Patel and Manishaben Vakil, Western Railways’ General Manager Mr. A. K. Gupta, District Collector Mrs. Shalini Agrawal, City Police Commissioner Mr. Anupamsinh Ghelot and others.
