Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today categorically stated that accepting the resolution of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC), the state government would extend the boundary of Vadodara city to incorporate the out-growth surrounding areas of the city, which would now avail certain civic amenities that were so far deprived to them.
He was speaking at ‘The Vikas Parv’ (Development Festival) organized by the VMC in Vadodara city today. On the occasion, Mr. Rupani also dedicated to people and laid foundation stones for several civic amenities projects in total worth of Rs. 169.24-Crore.
The Chief Minister said to fulfill the pledge taken by Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi to provide house to each and every homeless family as their gift on 75th Independence Day, the state government is determined to make avail a house to every poor in Gujarat. Gujarat is leading the country in implementing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (PMAY) with more than one-lakh beneficiary families of it, so far.
Mr. Rupani said we are following the development mantra of providing benefits of Rs. 1.25 to the people against expenditure of Rs. 1, given by Mr. Modi. This is the “Certificate” that our government is functioning very scrupulously.
