Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani expressed his desire that the state government shall provide land for the educational institutions such as hostels, colleges at a price 50% less than the market rates. He digitally launched the Seth Shri U. N. Mehta Vidyarthi Gruh- Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalaya at Paldi in Ahmedabad.
Government will give additional FSI required for the construction of buildings for educational activities other than commercial purposes. With the increasing prevalence of education today, ancillary systems need to be developed
as well, especially as cities have more education facilities which calls for the need to increase hostel facilities for students.
Parents are always worried about the stay of their children in cities. But such institutes provide facilities and also ensure disciplin. Mr. Rupani said that, it is a pleasure to see Government and Society working together. Cooperation of the society is always required as the government cannot reach all the places. Mr. Rupani gave a brief picture of the increasing educational status in the state and details of increased seats in the state from Marine University to Railway University and higher education in the last two decades.
Mentioning that education is necessary for the formation of future India Mr. Rupani said that that government is working to increase the facilities for the citizens in the states. Recalling his days as a student Mr. Rupani said, “I used to go to this hostel every evening in the 80's.”Ahmedabad Mayor Smt. Bijalben Patel, Nityanand Surishvariji Maharaj, Smt. Shardaben Mehta from Torrent Group, Trustees Mr. Mukeshbhai Mehta, Hiteshbhai Doshi, Jashvantbhai Modi, Jain community people joined the occasion.
