Guj CM Vijaybhai Rupani inaugurated Global Patidar Business Summit 2020 at Gandhinagar.

    Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated the three-day Global Patidar Business Summit-2020 at the Helipad here today.
    Speaking on the occasion, he said that summits like this can face the global challenges to build a societal power with the help of knowledge, science and technology. It is for the entire society to ensure the development of the last man in the last mile.

    He had a word of praise for the Patidar community describing them as industrious, honest and pragmatic, marching with the changing times, excelling in every walk of life – having strong willpower and determination as heir to Sardar Saheb – be it in trade or industry, job or competitive examinations.

    Mr. Rupani wished this business summit doesn’t just promote business but also have holistic approach to encourage youth be self-reliant, highly educated as per global needs, to be job-givers and not job-seekers. He exuded confidence of society becoming a partner of government in the development of the state and nation.

    Deputy Chief Minister Nitinbhai Patel said the purpose of business summits like this is also to encourage youth to be job-givers and not just job-seekers. He said Patidar community people are settled at many places abroad, and help one another in business and jobs, handing over rich traditions to new generations.

    He said the State Government provided jobs to 1.50-lakh youth during the last five years, including 35,000 during the last one year, made possible due to the government’s priority to provide jobs and help the youth set up start-ups.
    The message of Gujarat’s illustrious son-of-the-soil Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi to the organisers of the summit, wishing all prosperity in all fields from agriculture to modern technology, for all round development of the nation, was read out on the occasion.

    Union Minister of State Mansukhbhai Mandaviya said that India received foreign investment totalling USD 64 billion last year, besides sanctioning loans in 59 minutes to encourage MSME sector – due to the government’s policies. The Patidar society is always ready to return its debt to the home land.

    Sardar Dham Chairman Gagjibhai Sutaria gave details of the summit and the preparations for Global Patidar Business Summit-2022 to be held in Surat. The highlights of the summit were felicitation of diamond, silver and prime donors by the dignitaries, and also of 339 successful Patidar youths trained for government jobs at Sardar
    Dham. Messrs Vivek Bindra, Meghmani Group’s Jayantibhai Patel, Shriram Exports’ Govindbhai Dholakia, young poet Kumar Vishwas, Jay Vasavda and Kajalben Oza Vaidya, among others, delivered lectures.

    Prominent among those present on the occasion included Gujarat’s Energy Minister Saurabh Patel, Revenue Minister Kaushikbhai Patel, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Jayesh Radadia, MPs, MLAs, Ahmedabad Mayor Bijalben Patel, trustees and delegates from different parts of the country and abroad.
