Gujarat Chief Minister issues property cards at a function, to benefit 3,500

    Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani issued approval letters and property cards regularizing proposed societies at a function organized by Ahmedabad District Revenue Administration at the Chandraprasad Desai Hall at Bapunagar here today.

    Speaking on the occasion, he reiterated his government’s commitment to serve and solve the problems of the poor, have-nots and middle-class, if necessary by changing the rules, needed in a democracy to let the people realize that the government is with them and takes fast decisions.

    .He directed the Revenue Department to start online approval system of online applications to take fast decisions regarding ULC, regularization of proposed societies, building pucca houses in place of slums and redevelopment of old societies – within one month. He was particularly referring to regularization of proposed societies completed before 2005. He stressed the need for online transactions, to save the people from making rounds of the government offices. He also praised the positive attitude of the department officials.

    Mr. Rupani recalled that his government has so far taken over 1,000 decisions, including 65 related to Revenue Department alone. The government has made the Revenue Department services simple and transparent, especially uploading of 7/12 Document, involving scanning of 8-crore pages.

    Revenue Minister Kaushikbhai Patel attributed the Revenue Department’s digitalization of huge documents to the dynamic leadership of the Chief Minister. It is a rare incident when the Chief Minister himself came to present the documents to 3,500 beneficiaries.

    Additional Chief Secretary Pankaj Kumar said that the government led by a compassionate chief minister is ever ready to solve the people’s problems, particularly the last man.

    Ahmedabad Collector Vikrant Pandey in his welcome address gave details of today’s event.

    The function was attended by Mayor Bijalben Patel, MPs, MLAs and office-bearers of the Ahmedabad.
