Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani flag off Police March Past in Ahmedabad to mark Rashtriya Ekta Diwas

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani flagged off a March Past by Ahmedabad Police from Sardar Patel Stadium to Sardar Patel’s Statue and back here today to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 144^th birth anniversary. Different platoons of the Police Department, advanced vehicles took part in the march past.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rupani said that Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary is being celebrated under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as National Unity Day to mark the Sardar’s contribution in merger of erstwhile princely states in Indian Union.

He said that such police parades were held in all the district headquarters of Gujarat because as they were the symbol of discipline and unity. Sardar Patel was also a strict disciplinarian.

Minister of State Pradeepsinh Jadeja and Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Ashish Bhatia also spoke on the occasion.
