Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani today flagged-off Thakor Samaj Jagruti Abhiyaan Rath from Pavagarh. The event was organized with a support of Shri Rohitji Chanduji Thakor known as the ‘Bhamasha’ of Thakor samaj and the whole Thakor society. This Rath-Yatra was organized by Gujarat Thakor Samaj Kelavani Trust and will walk across the villages of Gujarat for the awareness to make society free from bad-habits, bad-customs and superstitions and will convey message for awareness about Kanya Kelavani, education, organizing mass-marriages, save girl-child, social unity and association.
CM Shri Rupani said that India is the country which has highest number of youth in the world, our youth are intelligent. We can make miracles by giving proper direction and support to the youth. The youth power will make India a super power. The state and union governments have planned various programs for development of youth to build the nation. State Government is concerned about de-addiction, is strictly bonded with policy of alcohol prohibition and within few days we will make strict laws to demolish the evil of addiction.
Each society should spread awareness about to get rid from addiction and customs, the Thakor Samaj deserves great praise for initiating it through this Rath-Yatra. Thakor samaj is honest, reliable and hardworking, this society has always worked for people, CM Shri Rupani added.
Before the programme, CM Shri Rupani visited one of the renowned Shakti Peeth of Goddess Mahakali located in Pavagadh of Panchmahal District. He devoutly worshiped the Goddess and expressed happiness for getting opportunity to worship the goddess for the first time. He expressed his wishes in front of the goddess and took blessings for the brighter future and to make people of Gujarat more powerful and wealthy. Trustee of Mahakali Temple Shri Rajubhai Bhatt and the office bearers made familiar about the future pilgrimage developments. He also expressed his faith that this awareness initiative through Rath-Yatra will make people aware to unite and to be honest.
On the occasion, MP Shri Prabhatsinh Chauhan, Shri Ramsinh Rathva, Shri Devjibhai Fatepura, Chairman of Thakor-Koli Vikas Nigam Shri Nandaji Thakor, Former MP Shri Pujaji Thakor, Shri Ramansinh Solanki were remained present.
