Gujarat CM greets erstwhile Rajkot’s prince Mandhatasinh Jadeja on his coronation

    Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on behalf of the Gujarat Government congratulated erstwhile Rajkot princely state’s prince Mandhatasinh Jadeja for inheriting its heritage on the concluding day of his three-day coronation ceremony held under at Rajkot today.

    Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rupani said the prince is committed to fulfil the responsibility of discharging his duty in a democratic system of governance. Unflinching faith in nationalism and democracy had been the focal point of the princely state’s system. The princely family has the tradition of accepting the challenges facing the people. He recalled Mahatma Gandhi’s and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s reminiscences about the glory that was the Rajkot Princely State.

    A large number of princes from other erstwhile princely states and their representatives, seers, including Dwarka Shakti pith Acharya Dandi Swami, Khodaldham trustee Naresh Patel, Ban Labs chairman Maulesh Ukani, among others were present on the occasion. The princely state priest Kaushikbhai Trivedi performed the ceremony, amidst varied rituals, worshipping swords, armours and other weapons, and rendering of patriotic songs, culminating in saluting the flags of erstwhile Rajkot princely state and that of India.

    The 17 th descendent of the 410 years’ glorious erstwhile princely rule Mandhatasinh Jadeja took the oath in the name of Santana Dharma and reciprocated the blessings and greetings.  Rajkot Mayor Beenaben Acharya greeted Mr. Mandhatasinh Jadeja on his coronation. Others present on the occasion included Gujarat’s Minister’s Bhupendrasinh Jadeja, Dharmendrasinh Jadeja and Jaydrathsinh Parmar, Gujarat Municipal Finance Board
    Chairman Dhansukh Bhanderi, Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog Chairman Vallabhbhai Kathiria, MP Mohanbhai Kundariya, MLAs Govindbhai Patel, Lakhabhai Sagathiya and Arvindbhai Raiyani, prominent citizens Nitinbhai Bharadwaj, Anjaliben Rupani, Collector Remya Mohan, Police Commissioner Manoj Agrawal, Municipal Commissioner Udit Agrawal, foreigners and a large number of people.
