Gujarat CM Greets People on Makar Sankranti and Flies Kite from Rooftop in Khadia, Ahmedabad
Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani greeted the people of Gujarat on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, also fondly called ‘Uttarayan’, as the Sun starts moving from southern hemisphere to northern (meaning ‘uttar disha’).
As it is also celebrated as the kite festival, CM Shri Rupani took time off to fly kites from the rooftop in Khadia locality in the city. He wished Gujarat’s prosperity goes skyward like the kites soar high in the sky.
Those present there included Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Ahmedabad Mayor Shri Gautam Shah, MLA from Khadia Shri Bhushan Bhatt and city corporators, among others.
