Gujarat CM honours Dr. Kumarpal Desai and Dr. C. L. Patel with Shri Kanjibhai Desai Gujarat Pratibha Awards

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani felicitated noted litterateur Dr. Kumarpal Desai, educationist Dr. C. L. Patel of Charutar Vidya Mandal on receiving the Kanjibhai Desai Gujarat Pratibha Awards at a function at Gujarat Vidyapith in Ahmedabad.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Shri Rupani said that it is not just the felicitation of two stalwarts but also of culture and educational excellence, Gujarat is the land of Narsinh Mehta and Narmad. Describing them as ‘Tapasvi’, he said this award is in recognition of their valuable contribution to the state and the society, to inspire the future generations for years to come. He said that infrastructure facility is not the only parameter of development but also its culture and excellence in the field of education.

CM Shri Rupani said that the State Government is keen to uphold the esteem of Gujarat, and also its achievements in the field of education, also keen to improve the skills of youth and to make them employable. He also released six books authored by Dr. Kumarpal Desai.

Responding to the felicitation, Dr. Desai said he is happy to receive the award as a result of translating his inherent nature into efforts. He is happy to have spread perfume from his service to the field of literature.

Others who spoke on the occasion included litterateur Raghuvir Chaudhry, Krishnakant Vakharia and Vishnubhai Pandya of Vishwa Gujaratri Samaj.
