Gandhinagar, Sunday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated country’s first and world’s third fossil park Dinosaur Museum Phase-2 constructed at the cost of Rs. 16.50 crore by Gujarat Tourism Corporation in Raiyoli of Mahisagar district under the presence of Finance Minister Shri Kanu Desai, Rural Development Minister Shri Arjunsinh Chauhan and Minister of state for Health Smt Nimisha Suthar.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that Tourism industry and tourism activity has gained momentum in Gujarat under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Today, Gujarat has emerged as an important tourist destination on the world map.
On this occasion the Chief Minister and dignitaries visited the Dinosaur Museum including hologram 5-D theatre, digital forest, 360 degree virtual reality, experiment lab, semi-circular projection, mood light, 3-D projection mapping was closely observed.
Gujarat has achieved an important milestone in the field of tourism with the construction of Dinosaur Museum at Raiyoli. He also added that the dinosaur museum built at Raiyoli will now give the world a glimpse of the pride of Gujarat’s land.
In this regard Chief Minister clearly added that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has illuminated the tourism of the state by highlighting the tourist destinations and organizing world class themed fairs at various tourist destinations of the state.
He further said that the development of tourism sector in Gujarat has created employment opportunities and the state government is making continuous efforts to increase the scope of tourism in the state. As a result, the number of tourists visiting the state’s tourist destinations has been increasing steadily.The Chief Minister added that Today, various tourism sectors like religious tourism, adventure tourism, sports tourism, medical tourism, border tourism, wildlife tourism, beach tourism have developed in Gujarat.
He said that Gujarat has achieved a significant milestone in the field of tourism with the Dinosaur Museum in Raiyoli.
Gujarat is an ancient land and its roots go back to prehistoric times.The land of Raiyoli village bears witness to the prehistoric age of Gujarat and we have opened this history to the world the Chief Minister said.
Today is the occasion to revive the prehistoric age of India, He added that Steven Spielberg made a world famous film called “Jurassic Museum”.

People experienced the unique thrill of the dinosaur era when they first saw dinosaurs like giant lizards on the cinema screen. “The thrill we all have experienced so far has only been on the screen in movies and on television,” he said. The same thrill can now be seen in this museum in Gujarat through dinosaur statues, interesting information and stunning exhibitions related to dinosaur.
Chief Minister added that so far we had only imagined about dinosaurs, how giant do they appear, what they ate, how they lived, the answer to all these whims will be found after visiting the museum here.
The world’s third dinosaur museum will be a centre of attraction for many tourists, archaeologists and subject matter experts from across the globe.
Congratulating everyone involved in the working of the museum, he said this dinosaur museum will put Raiyoli and Balasinor talukas on the world tourism map. As a result, Gujarat’s tourism sector will become stronger.

The Gujarat government is moving in that direction.
Mahisagar district has a lot of potential for the development of the tourism sector due to its amazing natural beauty. The state government has planned to develop ‘Mahisagar Tourist Circuit’ with the objective of providing employment to the locals through tourism and boosting the economy of the district.
He said that in the next three years, many works like Kadana Area Development, Swaroop Sagar Lake Development, Kaleshwari Development, Kedareshwar Dhamod Development, Mangadh Hill Development as well as Galteshwar Development, Dakor Development have been planned.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this dinosaur museum would bring a new velocity of life to the tourism sector in the state by boosting the Phase-II tourism activity.
Minister in charge of Mahisagar District and Rural Development Minister Shri Arjunsinh Chauhan said that the state government is committed to the development of tourist destinations in Gujarat. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, holy pilgrimage centres and faith centres are being developed in the state. Recently, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi unfurled the flag at the newly constructed temple of Maa Kalika in Pavagadh after 500 years.This dinosaur park of Raiyoli will be a centre of attraction for Gujarat, the country and the world. It will be interesting for researchers and young people interested in the creation of dinosaurs, he added.
About 40 dinosaur sculptures are on display in the museum which provides accurate information on their size, shape, habits and residential area.‘Dino Fun’ has also been created here for the entertainment of children.
