With the initiative of Shala Praveshotsav started in the year 2003 by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to change the scenario of school education in Gujarat and to give impetus to the education of the children from the scratch and to reduce drop out ratio
Gandhinagar, Thursday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel kick starts statewide 17th Kanya Kelavni Mahotsav and Shala Praveshotsav launched by the state government from Memadpur Primary School in Vadgam taluka of Banaskantha district.
Chief Minister distributed chocolates to the children of Std-1st of Memadpur Primary School with enrollment kits.
During his visit to the school, the Chief Minister interacted with the members of the School Management Committee, reviewed the status of education in the village and provided guidance to improve it. Moreover he also planted trees in the school premises.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that Shri Narendra Modi the then Chief Minister of Gujarat, has made successful efforts to bring the last man of the state into the mainstream. Our government is working to keep up this momentum.
With the mantra of Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas, Sauno Vishwas, Sauno Prayas Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has laid special emphasis on the issues like education, health and security and has made it more stronger.
The Chief Minister said that if the foundation of education in the society is strong then progress can be made in every field and through education and use of technology a person can become competent by the use of the technology.
The Chief Minister added that the drop out ratio in the schools of the state has been significantly reduced since the Shala Praveshotsav started by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the year 2003 to change the status of school education in Gujarat and to accelerate the elementary education of the children.
The Shala Praveshotsav creates an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the village and encourages the villagers to send their children to school. Our government is committed to address the challenges that comes ahead in front of the students, teachers and parents in the field of education. Government has set up excellent systems for education in many fields like medical and engineering. The Chief Minister called upon people present at this juncture to strive for the betterment of the education of children in the village.
The government has done important work in areas including health and safety along with education. During the pandemic, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has helped out people of the country from this pandemic by providing excellent treatment, free vaccinations and free food to the needy. The Gujarat government has also made special provisions in the budget for the benefit of health related schemes to the citizens. Banaskantha is dependent on agriculture and animal husbandry. The state government has provided treatment by organizing animal health fairs to prevent various diseases in animals. As a result, the revenue generated by dairies from milk production has increased significantly from 61 metric ton to 158 metric ton. Chief Minister clearly stated that current government is committed to enhance the well-being of citizens. Referring to the “Seva Setu” organized by the Banaskantha district administration in Memadpur village. The day before Shala Praveshotsav the Chief Minister said Gujarat government is at the forefront in delivering the benefits of various schemes to citizens at home. The government is committed to ensure that every citizen gets every benefit of the schemes in all the districts of the state.
State Education Minister Shri Kirtisinh Vaghela who was present for the occasion said that twenty years ago the dropout ratio in schools was very high. But today the ratio is negligible due to the Shala Praveshotsav started by the then Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat Government is trying to move ahead by implementing a new education policy to stay ahead in the field of education.
The Bhagavad Gita has been included in the syllabus from Std. 6th to inculcate values in students along with education. He congratulated Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel for approving the Kasra-Dantiwada and Dindrol-Mukteshwar schemes of pure drinking water for the people of Banaskantha.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel felicitated girls of the village by felicitating them with shields and certificates who achieved various educational achievements. On this occasion former Union Minister Shri Hari Chaudhary, District President Shri Gumansinh Chauhan, Shri Dileep Vaghela, Shri Suresh Shah, Shri Hitesh Chaudhary, District Collector Shri Anand Patel, Superintendent of Police Shri Akshayraj Makwana, District Primary Education Officer Shri Sanjay Parmar, senior officers, office bearers and a large number of villagers were present.
