Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani today launched free Wi-Fi service on Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS). While launching this service he said that 15 thousand passengers of Rajkot will get its benefit. This service was started near Mava Circle on 150 feet ring road in Rajkot.
It is a part of making available free Wi-Fi service on BRTS route by Rakot Municipal Corporation and this facility is available on 18 bus shelters from today. Under this service every passenger will be able to use Wi-Fi service for 10 minutes at the speed of 10mbps.
it may be noted that BRTS pilot blue corridor have been designed for 10.70 km area, from Gandal Chokdi to Madhapar Chowk. Under which service lane, cycle zone pedestrian way, motor vehicle lane and BRTS bus lane have been constructed along with 18 shelters. BRTS bus service was started from 1.10.2012 on this route.
Approximately 20 lakh 61 thousand from 2012 and 44 lakh 15 thousand passengers from April-16 have been benefitted from this service. These 18 shelters have been equipped with CCTV camera, smooth traveling facility for Divyangs, Pay-tm, smart ticketing etc. Along with launching of Wi-Fi service, CM Shri Rupani also remained present at car company show room.
On this occasion Mayor Shri Jaymanbhai Upadhyaya, MP Shri Mohanbhai Kundariya, MLAs Shri Govindbhai Patel and Mrs. Bhanuben Babriya, Munisipal finance Board Chiarman Shri Dhansukhbhai Bhanderi, other dignitaries, remained present.
