Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani today met the participation countries of Vibrant Gujarat Global Investor Summit-2017; President of Kenya Mr. Uhuru Mugai Kenyatta and Prime Minister of Portugal Mr. Antonio Lewis Santosada Costa here in Mahatma Mandir of Gandhinagar. They discussed about the emerging sectors in Gujarat such as industries, education, health services and cultural exchanges etc.
CM Shri Rupani personally went to meet Mr. Costa to the Portugal country lounge situated here at Mahatma Mandir. He also briefly discussed with Kenyan President regarding investment opportunities in cultural exchanges, renewable energy, port infrastructure, waste water management, waste management, tourism and education etc. The Kenyan President briefed him about their culture and said that 80000 Gujarati people are residing in Kenya. CM Shri Rupani also briefed him about the MoUs signed between Kenya and India during July 2016. The duo discussed to increase cooperation in various sectors such as defense, skill development, housing, medical tourism, cultural exchanges and agro processing sectors. Mr. Costa invited CM Shri Rupani to Kenya as well.
On the occasion Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Ms. S. Aparna, Principal Secretary Shri P. K. Parmar, Senior Officer Shri Vipul Mitra, and Shri N. Shrivastava were remained present.
