Gujarat CM raises settlement amount by 150% under land acquisition Lok Adalat Cases

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijaybhai Rupani has taken agriculture welfare beneficial decision by raising the limit of settlement amount to Rs. 5 lakh from Rs. 2 lakh in cases of land acquisition.

The State and Union Governments are committed for speedy justice to the people in the pending legal cases through Lok Adalats.

Accordingly Revenue Department, in the cases of land compensation had fixed the limit of petty claim to Rs. 2 lakh with the purpose to solve the cases on the spot. As a result, as many as 3885 cases were disposed quickly.

Looking to the quick disposal of cases, State Government has decided to raise the limit of petty claim amount by 150% of settlement amount, which is from Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh in land acquisition cases.
