Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani addressed students at the fifth convocation ceremony of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) here in Gandhinagar.
CM Mr. Rupani awarded degree certificates and medals to 615 brilliant students of PDPU in presence of Union Human Resources Development Minister Mr. Prakash Javdekar, PDPU President Mr. Mukesh Ambani and State Education Minister Mr. Bhupendrasinh Chudasama.
While congratulating the students for getting degree certificate and award from the one of the top universities of India, CM Mr. Rupani asked students to perform their role and responsibilities towards the nation and for the people. In this regard he said that the name associated with this university, Pandit Deendayalji – the divine personality had given pro-people concept. He emphasized to adopt such concept in their lives as well as in career. New researches, innovations and global horizon became extensive in this era of knowledge and science. The best education methodology for the youth of Gujarat to compete with the world has been begun in Gujarat under leadership of the then Chief Minister and present Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, he added.
CM Mr. Rupani clearly said that as a result today 56 universities in Gujarat provide education of international level. Universities such as Raksha Shakti, Forensic Science, Sports, Teachers Training and Children University became inspiration for all-round development of the youth of the state. On behalf of the state government, he expressed readiness to support students by giving assistance for their independent business and innovations as a part of ‘Start-up’.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Nitinbhai Patel conveyed greetings to all the students involved in the convocation and said that, track of life always keep shining with the light of Education.
In the Fifth convocation ceremony of PDPU, 615 students were awarded with Degree. Out of them, four students received degree of Doctor of Philosophy – Ph.D. and In addition, 50 students were awarded the “Medal of Merit” for getting the best results in different streams.
On the occasion, MP Mr. Parimal Nathwani, Chief secretary Dr. J. N. Singh, Standing Committee Chairman of PDPU Mr. Rajgopalan, Industrialist Shri Sudhir Mehta, senior IAS officers, students and their parents were present.
