CM guides the district authorities to work with alertness so that there is minimal loss of life and property due to rains
Plea to ensure safety on causeway roads and control traffic in case of Lake-small dams are flooded

Gandhinagar, Wednesday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel took in depth review of the situation in the five districts of the state through CM dashboard which were affected by the rains and declared red alert. Chief Minister obtained complete details of the disastrous situation in Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Navsari, Dang and Valsad districts due to heavy rains from the District Collectors.
After visiting the rain-affected districts Narmada, Navsari and Chhota Udepur districts on Tuesday, the Chief Minister today assessed the current rain situation in five districts through CM dashboard.
Chief Minister also obtained information about the people residing in low-lying areas and slums in these districts are shifted to safer areas and also regarding facilities provided to them.
The Chief Minister said that if there is more water flowing on the road or causeway, because of the lake or small dams flooded and water is flown on the roads, then such roads should be closed for any vehicles or people to pass by so that no traffic is created and if required, the police administration should be reached out to seek the help of the system.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel also guided the district administrations of these five districts so that rescue and relief operations, power supply, water supply, health services as well as NDRF, SDRF teams coordinate if required.
The Chief Minister clearly instructed to take necessary safety measures and to minimize the loss of life and property due to rains.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel also urged the administration of all the rain affected districts to ensure adequate food facilities and other necessary facilities are provided to the people living in the shelters.
He said that especially in Navsari and Dang districts, as soon as the rain water gets cleared road barracks should be removed and opened immediately. Moreover Chief Minister also instructed for cleaning of those areas.
The Chief Minister also asked the Collectors of this district to maintain constant coordination with the State Government for any further emergency help.
Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary to CM Shri Pankaj Joshi, Commissioner of Relief Shri P. Swaroop also joined Chief Minister.
