Gujarat CM visits heavy rain affected district Chhota Udepur

    CM meets rain affected people of Bodeli’s Vardhman Nagar colony and acquaints himself about the damage caused by the rains

    Gandhinagar, Tuesday:  Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel on Tuesday visited the  most affected flood-hit Bodeli area in Chhota Udepur district of Central Gujarat.

    With context to his visit to the areas most affected because of heavy rains Chief Minister visited Bodeli  and  met the people affected by heavy rains , He interacted with them and got details about the rescue and relief operations carried out by the administration, arrangement of shelters etc.

    Chief Minister also met the people of Bodeli’s Vardhman Nagar colony and acquainted himself about the damage caused by the rains.

    The Chief Minister also visited the affected people seeking shelter at Shirolawala High School and obtained information about the food and health services available to them and assured them that the government is always by their side.

    The Chief Minister also met Leader of Opposition Shri Sukhram Rathva at Shirolawala High School.  The Leader of the Opposition gave details of the destruction caused by the rains in Chhota Udepur district to the Chief Minister.

    The Chief Minister promised to help the affected people and further added saying that all the necessary assistance would be disbursed to the flood affected people as per the norms of the state government.

    The Chief Minister conducted a survey of the flood affected area of Chhota Udepur district and instructed the district administration to provide all the necessary help to the people.

    He instructed the authorities to accelerate the payment process and thereby provide assistance to those who have lost their lives and property in the natural calamity.

    In order to fulfill the responsibility and also to stand by the people at a time when heavy rains have affected the villages of Chhota Udepur district, the Chief Minister directed to conduct a survey of the damage in such a way that the one’s affected get the necessary assistance and help and not others who are not in need grabs the advantage.

    Chief Minister by informing that the power supply would be restored swiftly in the remaining villages of the district which are yet to be restored he said that necessary cleaning operations will also be carried out to prevent outbreak of diseases after rains.

    Minister of state for Tribals Smt Nimisha Suthar, MP Smt Geeta Rathva, MLA Shri Abhesinh Tadvi, District Panchayat President, Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Kumar, District Collector, District Development Officer including officers, office bearers were present during this visit.
