Gandhinagar, Saturday: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today said Gujarat Government has completed five years of good governance giving impetus in all directions, having walked on the system of politics of development established by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Talking about the Vikas Divas function at Himatnagar to mark five years good governance through nine days of Seva Yagya, he said it is like worshipping the Goddess of Shakti through Nine Nights during Navaratri.
Quoting famous preacher Morari Bapu, Mr. Rupani said that Shri Narendrabhai has come for ‘Adhishthan’ to stay in politics to achieve resolves. He does what he says, setting an example of what is politics of development before the world.
Mr. Rupani said that this government has stood up to the expectations of the people with every citizen feeling that this is our government and that stand by us at our service, for the last 25 years.
The Chief Minister said that this government has maintained the tempo of development even during the coronavirus pandemic with the cooperation of people and voluntary organisations, having taken up development works worth Rs.5,300 crore, and is fully prepared to face the likely third wave of the coronavirus Covid-19.
He said that it is in continuation of such an effort that a number of health-related projects are being dedicated from Himatnagar on Vikas Divas for different places across Gujarat. It is in the same context that number of medical seats has increased from 850 to 5,000 in the state, saving students going to study abroad.
Deputy Chief Minister Nitinbhai Patel said that Gujarat’s development during the last five years under the leadership of Mr. Vijay Rupani will be written in golden letters. He has taken the worries of 6.50 crore Gujaratis on himself and worked in that direction. Over 2.60-crore tests have been carried out for Covid-19 in the state, while 16-lakh Remdesivir injections have been distributed free in the state.
He made a detailed presentation on important decisions taken by the Core Committee implemented by Team Gujarat. The State Government has bought 1,000 ventilators and has undertaken other steps to face the likely third wave of coronavirus.
