Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today complimented the Science & Technology Department for selecting 253 public places in 55 towns in the state to provide Wi-Fi project as part of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s resolve for Digital India.
The project has been implemented by GTPL as a five year model free service through Internet in government departments and major utility services, like ST Bus Stands, Civil Hospitals, Courts, TDO, Nagarpalikas of Ka and Da categories.
So far, 1.65-lakh users have registered for 2-8 excess point for 30-100 MBPS bandwidth. They can access through OTP.
Those present on the occasion included Urban Development Principal Secretary Mr. Mukesh Puri, S&T Secretary Dhananjay Dwivedi, Chief Minister’s Secretary Ashwini Kumar, GIL MD Ms. Sandhya Bhullar and GTPL officers.
