    Gandhinagar, Friday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel has clearly stated that the strong connectivity of the state is at the root of the people of the country and the world choosing Gujarat for industry and trade investments. In this regard, he said that the best infrastructure of rail, road, air connectivity developed by Gujarat under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has established the development of the state as a role model.

    The Chief Minister inaugurated the completed six lane operation of 54 km Bagodra-Tarapur-Vasad road constructed at a cost of Rs. 649 crore. The State Roads and Buildings Department has decided to undertake the project of 6 lanes of the entire Bagodra-Tarapur-Vasad road in two packages. The 6 lane operation was completed in October 2021 at a cost of Rs 1005 crore.

    Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel in the presence of Road and Building Minister Shri Purneshbhai Modi today announced completion of package 1 work of 6 lane operation of 54 km road from Bagodra to Tarapur which was completed at a cost of Rs. 649 crore.

    Shri Bhupendra Patel added that Gujarat is achieving new milestones by giving a new impetus to development under the direction of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi. The Chief Minister also added that the politics of development has shown the people what is called development by connecting the people of remote villages with facilities like roads, water, education and health. The Chief Minister said that now people have also accepted that Gujarat means development and development means Gujarat.

    Shri Bhupendra Patel said that the Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai has started the era of development competition and has engaged the people with development works worth crores of rupees to bring happiness and convenience to even remotely situated human beings. The government has also given priority to education, health and peace, the three main conditions of development, he added.

    The Chief Minister also said that in the Pradhan Mantri Grameen Sadak Yojana, Rs. 4086 crore works of 13700 kilometres have been completed in two decades. The Chief Minister said that Rajkot Highway is being made 6 lanes, Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway is being prepared to be made 6 lane and villages are also being connected with maximum road connectivity.

    The development of Gujarat has not stopped even in the corona epidemic under the guidance of Shri Narendrabhai Modi. The Chief Minister also said that Shri Narendrabhai Modi has taken adequate care of the economic system of the country as well as the life of everyone, that is why Shri Narendrabhai Modi has been established as a visionary leader in the whole world.

    On this occasion, Minister for Roads and Housing Shri Purneshbhai Modi said that today an atmosphere of joy and happiness has been created in the entire Saurashtra and South Zone. Today we have before us another example of the development of Gujarat through the inauguration of 54 km six lane road from Bagodra to Tarapur.

    In this regard, he further said that a total of 101 km road has been completed at a cost of crores of rupees in two parts namely 47 km from Vasad to Tarapur and 54 km from Tarapur to Bagodra. This road is going to be a bridge for the movement of millions of citizens of South and Central Gujarat.

    Shri Purneshbhai Modi further said that under the guidance Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, under the leadership of popular Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, the road and building department of all our Gujarat Governments is moving ahead with the name of speedy construction of 4 and 6 lane roads.

    In the name of strengthening the state’s infrastructure and connectivity, the Minister for Roads and Housing added that for the first time since independence, causeway weir, paved roads for non-asphalt roads under Azadika Amrut Mahotsav are being created in villages being separated by rains due to road and building department.

    Former Education Minister and MLA Shri Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that the foundation of the development we are seeing today was laid by Shri Keshubhai Patel in the BJP regime. He added that the foundation of development laid by Shri Keshubhai Patel was given a modern look by Shri Narendrabhai Modi. Then Shri Anandiben Patel gave it impetus, Shri Vijaybhai Rupani gave impetus and now today Shri Bhupendra Patel is giving its progress.

    Shri SB Vasava, Secretary, Roads and Buildings Department, in his welcome address said that this six lane road connecting Saurashtra, South Gujarat and Kutch will facilitate transportation.

    He added that the road and building department in the state is speeding up the construction of 4 and 6 lanes, thus connecting the hinterland of the entire state through transport. It may be mentioned that Bagodra-Tarapur six lane road is the shortest six lane road connecting Saurashtra zone and Central Gujarat and South Gujarat. This is a six lane road with three major bridges, one railway overbridge, one minor bridge, 14 underpasses, 19 km service road, 1 toll plaza and a state-of-the-art advanced traffic management system.

    In addition,32 bus stand, surveillance system with high-tech camera, speed display system as well as variable message display system have been used on these six lane roads.

    Survey MLA Shri Babubhai Patel, Mayurbhai Rawal, District Collector Shri Sandeep Sagle, District Development Officer Shri Anil Dhamelia along with officers and office bearers of Roads and Buildings Department and villagers were present on the occasion.
