Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani today have begun to deliver the waters of Narmada in the Tupper Dam near the Wang area of Bhachau, Kutch. They welcomed the water by offering flower in Tupper dam. Welcoming the waters of Narmada on the desert land of Kutch Mr. Modi said that we will have to take care of water as we take care of blood flowing from our veins. It is need of hour to make proper usage and preservation of water.
While addressing huge people gathering at Bhachau, Mr. Modi remembered prophecies of Jain Saint Shri Buddhisagar Maharaj and Kutch based Saint Shri Mekran Dada and said that the description of Dada Mekran regarding waters of rivers Narmada, Sindhu and Saraswati will flown in Kutch is now going to come true. While, Shri Buddhisagar Maharaj said that water will be sold at grocery shop. Both the prophecies are now come true.
Mr. Modi said that a big part of budget declared by Government of Gujarat is being spent for water. We are giving importance to water instead of welfare schemes regarding food or health or education for poor people. Kutch people have special attachment for their motherland and water. While it is raining in Kutch, the Kutch people living in other states-districts expresses joy and prepare sweet pudding in their homes. While the drastic earthquake happened in Kutch, these people asked situation of Tupper dam after concerning about their home-families staying over here. It is a historic moment while waters of Narmada reached in Tupper dam. Now green revolution will take place in Kutch through waters of Narmada. People of Kutch are very hard working. People of Kutch can educate whole nation regarding economical usage of water. The mangoes which have been cultivated here with the usage of drop irrigation system are now exporting in foreign countries as well, he added.
The works done for water were appreciated by Former Chief Minister Mr. Keshubhai Patel and Mr. Rupani. He dedicated the pumping station built at a cost of Rs. 148.26 Crore and laid the foundation stone of the modern bus-port going to be built at a cost of Rs 39.17 Crore in Bhuj. Under the leadership of Mr. Modi’s government Mr. Rupani has allocated Rs. 3160 Crore for quick implementation of such developmental works. Mr. Rupani said that Kutch will be enjoying green revolution in nearer future by completing the work to extend water from Tupper Dam to Mandvi. 40 water reservoirs of Kutch and more than 50000 acre land are made irrigative through the waters of Narmada. The days of sufferings have come to end now and we have given answer by delivering the waters of Narmada to Kutch to the ones who once said that Narmada water won’t reach Kutch.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel gave occasional speech. On the occasion, Kutch District In-charge Minister Mr. Rajendra Trivedi, MLAs Mr. Pankajbhai Mehta, Mr. Tarachandbhai Chheda, Mrs. Neemaben Acharya, Mr. Rameshbhai Maheshwari, Chief Secretary Dr. J. N. Singh, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Mr. K. Kailashnathan, BJP leaders, local leaders, District Panchayat President, Chairman & Director of Narmada Corporation, District Collector, higher authorities, office-bearers and local people in huge number were remained present.
