Implementation of GST business-industry will get simple – Shri Nitinbhai Patel
Gandhinagar, Saturday: Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani attended the celebration of GST Day in Ahmedabad and said that as a result of equal tax structure businesses-industries will be benefitted and poor and middle class people will get relief from the intricacies of tax structure. In real sense, the development of the nation will get momentum. India has earned reputation with implementation of equal tax structure, he added.
Mr. Rupani said that our PM has given priority to country’s economic affairs and took strong action for the upcoming challenges. Mr. Modi has taken many steps like demonetization, Jandhan Yojana and control over black money in just a span of 3 years. He expressed confidence that with the implementation of GST, business enterprises in the country will be boosted. He said that for the implementation of GST more than 93% of tax payers have migrated for GST from VAT.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel said that Gujarat has always leaded in everything and State Government is always committed for the growth of business, industry and service. For the implementation of this law different departments will unite together and the administrative system will be consolidated. The formation of any policy is easy but its execution and task of implementing and delivering benefits to the people is tough.
Minister of State for Finance Department Mr. Rohitbhai Patel said that with the implementation of GST India will come parallel with other developed countries of the world.
Chief Secretary Mr. J. N. Singh in his occasional speech said that with the implementation of One Nation One Tax the business world will grow more and more. The officers have planned for simple and easy implementation of GST in Gujarat.
GST Chief Commissioner Mr. Ajay Jain in his welcome speech said that this day is an historical day for the nation. Central Government and State Government will work together in tax structure. It would be helpful for business in the upcoming days.
Sales Tax Commissioner Mr. P. D. Vaghela briefed about the system for the implementation of GST. The registration process for the same has started. The guidelines for the same will also be found at every office.
On the occasion, Minister of State for Finance Department Mr. Rohitbhai Patel, Chief Secretary Mr. J. N. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of Finance Department Mr. Anil Mukim, Secretary Mr. Sanjiv Kumar, GST Chief Commissioner Mr. Ajay Jain, Sales Tax Commissioner Mr. P. D. Vaghela and other dignitaries were remained present.
