Inaugurated the Kankaria Carnival a week-long festival to boost the spirit of arts, cultural & social activities in the society

    Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani inaugurated Kankaria Carnival -2019 at heritage city Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad is a 600 years old city. The city has been brightened up by the then Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi with projects like Riverfront.

    Kankaria Carnival is being organised since last 11 years for which I would like to congratulate the officials as well employees of AMC. Works of total of 1050 crores have been dedicated and laid foundation stone in Vadodara today as well developmental works of 170 crores have been dedicated today.

    Recalling his days as Mayor of Rajkot Mr. Rupani said that present government is accelerating developmental works. Gujarat’s cities are among the fastest growing cities in the world which promises a new direction of good governance.

    Mr. Rupani expressed state government commitment to reach till the last men of the state. The government is striving to keep Gujarat ahead in Happiness Index along with the Development index.

    Mr. Rupani wished the people of the state for Christmas. He launched 38 electric bus with no pollution and fast charging capacity as well “My Bike” electric bikes. He also performed e-khatmahurat of various developmental works of Rs. 1050 crores.

    On the inauguration of Kankaria Carnival 2019, Chief Minister also attended cultural program and a light and sound show.

    Ahmedabad Mayor and Municipal Commissioner delivered occasional speeches.

    On the occasion Minister of State for Home Department Mr. Pradeepsinh Jadeja, Revenue Minister Mr. Kaushikbhai Patel, MP, MLA, Police Commissioner and people from Ahmedabad remained present
