“India’s farmer will become Global Farmer” says Gujarat CM at Agro-Vision Expo in Nagpur

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani today inaugurated Farmer workshop organized at National Agro-Vision at Nagpur. He expressed hope that with steps taken by current government in Central towards prosperity of agriculture and Krishi Kalyan Schemes, India’s farmer will become a global farmer using modern technology in coming five years.

CM Shri Rupani also said that with value addition of agri products, promotion to Agro Food processing and due to holistic approach for agriculture development Indian Farmer power will easily compete with world.

In the workshop and exhibition being organized under guidance of Union Road and Transport Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shri Giriraj Singh also remained present.

Briefing about Gujarat Agriculture CM Shri Rupani said that while Gujarat Farmer has established new dimensions including micro irrigation, green house and value addition, Gujarat Government has made strong arrangement of lab to land for providing expert knowledge to farmer at door step and Farm to Foreign Market to send their produce in overseas market. Gujarat Government has also made arrangement of cargo at Ahmedabad Airport so that fresh fruits can be sent.

Describing a success of Gujarat Agriculture, CM Shri Rupani said that with the help of I-portal and e-connectivity, Farmer of State is buying and selling its produce after getting trend of world market. He also said that Gujarat Is leading in providing benefit of Prime Minister Crop Insurance to Farmers.

During this program CM Shri Rupani also visited to Gujarat Agro Industries Stall. Union Minister for Road and Transport Shri Nitin Gadkari also mentioning agriculture revolution in Gujarat asked to follow Gujarat for Agri export arrangement at Airport, milk economy etc. H also appealed to farmers to become prosper by adopting modern agriculture. Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shri Giriraj Singh termed water and population as two main challenges and asked to use sustainable model.

On this occasion Maharashtra’s minister for state of Social Justice Department Shri Rajkumar Badole, Shri R.C. Faldu, Amul’s Managing Director Shri R.S.Sodhi also remained present.
