Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel:
Gandhinagar, Saturday: ‘Karnataka Darshan 2022’ organized as part of Diamond Jubilee celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of Karnataka Sangha-Ahmedabad was inaugurated in Ahmedabad today in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said, “I feel happy to be present at the inauguration of Karnataka Darshan-2022 organized today in the Heritage City-Ahmedabad.
Along with the completion of 75 years of independence of the country, it is also the 75th anniversary of Karnataka-Ahmedabad Sangha which is a happy coincidence. Today after independence we have got such a strong leadership that today we all value our country more than our village, our city or our state and are realizing the concept of ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’.
The people who came from Karnataka years ago and settled here have mixed like sugar in milk. Such ‘Savaya Gujaratis’ living in Gujarat today have also contributed to the continuous development of Gujarat under the leadership of Honorable Narendra Modi. Under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the central and state governments are constantly striving to ensure that every state unites and participates in the development journey of the country.
He further said that today Gujarat has organized National Games in a very short period of time. Even in such a short period of time, the state has successfully organized the National Games by providing high standard facilities to sportspersons across the country, which has been possible due to Gujarat’s development model and overall development in all sectors.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel added that after Covid, the economies of many big countries of the world were in trouble, but today our economy has advanced from the sixth place to the fifth in the world under the leadership of Narendra Modi. Gujarat and Karnataka have also contributed significantly to the country’s economy. In the future also, both the states will continue to unite and participate in the development of the country.
On this occasion, Union Parliamentary Affairs and Mines Minister Prahlad Joshi said that Karnataka is the land of Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramahansa. Gujaratis are also making an important contribution in the development of Karnataka. It is only because of the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi that today the country has reached the fifth position in the global economy, in which both Gujarat and Karnataka have a significant contribution. On the occasion of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, we showed our national unity. At the time of Corona, we gave another introduction to success through our joint efforts by vaccinating on such a large scale.
Minister of State for Home Shri Harsh Sanghvi said that today the Karnataka Sangha is celebrating its 75 years while the entire country is also celebrating the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Even though we all live in different states or cities for business and employment, we have people of different caste, caste or culture living in each state but we all participate together in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and present a unique vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat’, which the whole world watched.
He further added that at the time of independence, Ahmedabad had more than 100 textile mills, in which many people came from Karnataka to work. Today they have become ‘Savaya Gujarati’. Today, more than 4 lakh Karnataka people working in various fields like textile, education, banking, software are contributing to the development of Gujarat. Similarly, the youth of Gujarat also go to Karnataka for education in large numbers today. This is the number 1 pair of Gujarat and Karnataka.
The citizens of all other states living in Gujarat have been participants in the development journey of Gujarat’s struggle and venture since 2002 and have been the essence of Gujarat’s development journey. The relations between Gujarat and Karnataka will likewise contribute to each other’s development. The state government will be committed to provide all the cooperation to organize such cultural programs in different cities of Gujarat.
Speaking on this occasion, President of Karnataka Sangha, Ahmedabad-Gujarat Shri Hanumant Bennur said that more than 5 lakh people of Karnataka are living in Gujarat. Gujarat has forever been welcoming and in every field he has got cooperation and affection from others. Apart from this, on this occasion the Ministers of Karnataka and the dignitaries present gave speeches. Souvenirs commemorating the completion of 75 years of Karnataka Sangha were released.
