Make Gujarat upfront in spirituality – says Guj CM

Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today asserted that Gujarat is a leading state in infrastructure and industrial development, similarly it should be made front runner in spirituality to provide right path to the future generations.

He was speaking at a function organized by Royal Park Stha. Jain Mota Sangh to celebrate the Chaturmass of Ratan Pujaya Gurudev Shree Shushantmuni Maharaj Saheb, Rastra Sant Pujaya Gurudev Shree Namra Muni Maharaj Saheb and others at Rajkot. He also unveiled the plaque of C. M. Paushad Shala.

The Chief Minister further stated that it is the responsibility of state to take care of all living beings as it is a Rajdharma. The world has accepted the Bhagwan Mahaveer Swami’s principle of non-violence.

Mr. Rupani also pointed out that Gujarat had taken lead in formulating the prevention of cow slaughtering act. For taking care of animals, the state government has initiated 1962 helpline and ambulance services in each district for the prompt medical services to the animals, birds, etc.

The Chief Minister said that to prevent the road accidents of sadhus, saints and sadhvijis, who are on ‘pad-yatra’, the state government has commenced to build ‘pagdandi’ (walking track) between Palitana and Vallabhipur at a cost of Rs. 250-crore. And second project covers roads between Shankheshwar and Ahmedabad.

The Chief Minister was invited to attend the Savantsari Dharmik programme to be in near future. At this programme, 11,000 devotees would make mass prayers to create a record for Guinee’s Book of Record.

Others who graced the occasion included Mrs. Anjaliben Rupani, Mayor Mrs. Beenaben Acharya, former MLA Mrs. Bhanuben Babariya, Mr. Nitinbhai Bhardwaj, standing committee chairman Mr. Udaybhai Kangad, Chandrakantbhai Seth, and others.
