Nearly 4-lakh citizens benefited by Seva Setu in a week, Gujarat CM’s said at RMC function

    Gujarat Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani today said that 4-lakh citizens have been benefitted by Seva Setu programme in the state during the last one week, to solve people’s issues under single window scheme at their doorsteps.

    Speaking at a multipronged function of the Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Airport Road, he said that Seva Setu has been directed to solve poor’s problems. He said the government is committed to provide houses, fitted with toilet, water, cooking gas and electricity to all homeless by 2022 under the PM’s Awas Yojna and CM’s Awas Yojna, In Rajkot, it is being built  in Kitipara locality. The new houses would be stronger, each beneficiary to get up to Rs.70,000.

    He directed RMC to provide water, light and gutter lines at Chhotunagar. He distributed documents to 287 persons at Amarjeetnagar, agreement letter to 59 clerks, and electricity allocation letters.

    Mr. Rupani said that his government is also concerned about the citizens’ serious diseases, extending assistance up to Rs.3-lakh under Mukhya Mantri Amritam, accident emergency treatment cost up to Rs.50,000, besides providing other assistance under Ujjwala, Saubhagya, Jandhan, etc..

    He said that the state government has provided jobs to 72,000 youth during the last one year through transparent means, eliminating middlemen who forced people to mortgage property or ornaments.

    Those present on the occasion included Mayor Binaben Acharya, Municipal Commissioner B.N. Pani, Standing Committee Chairman Udaybhai Kangade, artist Dhirubhai Sarvaiyya,  MP Mohanbhai Kundariya, Gujarat Municipal Finance Board Chairman Dhansukhbhai Bhanderi, MLAs Govindbhai Patel, Lakhabhai Radia and Ashsih Vagadia, Deputy Mayor Ashwinbhai Moliya, Kamlesh Mirani, Manish Radia, Ashish Vagadiya, Nitin Bharadwaj, Dalsukh Jagani, Police Commissioner Manoj Agrawal, Collector Rahul Gupta, among others.

    Beneficiaries of Seva Setu programme like Chetanbhai Chauhan, Nirajbhai Vania and recounted their story, their shifting from rented premises or slums to their own houses, getting back Rs.50,000 refund. The newly allotted houses market price might soon touch Rs.20-lakh.

    A construction worker Nitish Javia residing at Vivekanand Nagar received State Government’s Bhagya Lakshmi Bond of Rs.10,000 for his 2-year-old daughter Jinal who will get Rs.40,000 on attaining 18 years.
