During the Rajya SWAGAT event held in Gandhinagar, the Chief Minister inaugurated a platform for online resolution of public grievances in the district SWAGAT system
The SWAGAT program in October 2023 successfully resolved 3,300 grievances
In an effort to harness the potential of information technology and offer people the convenience of lodging their grievances from the comfort of their homes, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated an online platform for the District-level SWAGAT during the Rajya SWAGAT event.
Ordinarily, citizens typically submit their requests in writing by physically visiting the office.
Embracing the Digital Age and prioritizing citizen convenience, the system for submitting submissions, complaints, and queries online is now thriving in Taluka SWAGAT, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel. This initiative aims to enable citizens to easily submit their concerns and inquiries through the online platform, eliminating the need for in-person visits to government offices.
Following the enthusiastic response from citizens regarding the online submission initiative in Taluka SWAGAT, the Chief Minister inaugurated an online submission platform for District SWAGAT. This initiative is designed to facilitate people in presenting their submissions, complaints, and questions through the online medium within the District SWAGAT framework.
In the event marking the platform’s launch, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Shri K. Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Joshi, and other senior secretaries joined Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.
In the course of the Rajya SWAGAT program, presentations made by the public before the Chief Minister covered various topics, including Urban Development, Panchayat, Education, Home Department, Industry, Revenue, and Narmada and Water Resources Department. The Chief Minister provided directives to the respective Secretaries and District Collectors for addressing these issues.
At the Rajya SWAGAT event, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel emphasized the importance of Collectors conducting review meetings with the relevant District Officers to assess the resolution of grievances in the District SWAGAT. In October 2023, a total of 3,300 issues were successfully resolved by integrating the village-taluka-district SWAGAT systems.
It is worth mentioning here that with the online submission platform introduced by the Chief Minister in District SWAGAT, citizens can now provide their submissions, complaints, and queries with comprehensive information online in both Taluka SWAGAT and District SWAGAT between the 1st and 10th of each month.
To facilitate this, citizens can submit their applications online through the following link: https://swagat.gujarat.gov.in/Citizen_Entry_DS.aspx?frm=ws in the District SWAGAT. Upon receiving these online submissions in the District SWAGAT, the District Collector will review them. Those submissions that the District Collector intends to include in the District SWAGAT Program at the district level will be incorporated. Any remaining applications will be forwarded by the District Collector’s Office to the Revenue Officer of the respective Taluka for inclusion in the Taluka SWAGAT.
These applications will be evaluated for inclusion in the Taluka SWAGAT program, and resolutions must be provided for these grievances in accordance with the established rules and regulations. Citizens whose applications have been transferred to Taluka SWAGAT will be notified through a letter, phone call, or telephonic message, providing them with information about the time and location of the upcoming Taluka SWAGAT session, ensuring they can participate.
