Gandhinagar, Saturday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel launched the world’s largest blood donation drive – Mega Blood Donation Drive organized by Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad Ahmedabad. Health Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel was also present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel congratulated all the leaders and youth of the society for organizing this blood donation drive by Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad on the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and said that such grand organization for blood donation is happening for the very first time. Shri Narendra Modi has always given priority to the works of service. He further added that Shri Narendra Modi’s efforts of making benefits of government schemes reach to the common and marginalized people are consistent. He also said that this kind of planning brings awareness in the society. He also appealed the citizens, especially youth to join such campaign in large numbers.
Shri Mukesh Guglia, Advisor of Mega Blood Donation Drive said that our target is to get more than 1,50,000 units of blood donation by organizing around 2000 Blood Donation Camps by Indian nationals as well as Indians abroad. The organization had successfully collected more than one lakh units of blood in 2012 and 2014 and has its name registered in the Guinness Book of World Records for the same.
Councilors, President of Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad Ahmedabad, members, volunteers associated with Mega Blood Donation Drive, community leaders and youth were present on this occasion.
