PM Mr. Narendra Modi celebrates his 67th birthday with Vanbandhus at Limkheda of Dahod

Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi today announced various schemes, including irrigation and potable water schemes for tribal areas worth Rs. 4817 crore. He talked about the rapid development in Gujarat. He emphasized that the government is dedicated to the welfare of the poor and marginalized. He said that Mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ is resonating all over the country.

While addressing a large gathering, PM Mr. Modi said that it was a belief at the time of formation of Gujarat as a new State that without resources like water, industry and minerals it will face many hardship, but today Gujarat has achieved new height of development by overcoming challenges of natural disaster and limited resources.

He said that Vanbahndhu Kalyan Yojana of Gujarat, is providing new dimension to Tribal development and Government of India’s Tribal Development Ministry has implemented that as a tribal development model across the nation. PM Mr. Modi handed over land ownership documents to tribal people.

Expressing hope that the concept of honey dairy should be initiated like milk dairy and honey processing should be undertaken, PM said that outlining of cultivation of honey is under process. Various experiments are being undertaken to make solar pump as a strength of the farmers, he said that it will encourage drip irrigation and enable water saving. While mentioning about Ujala Scheme, he said that these bulbs saves electricity and also reduce expenses. As a result State Exchequer will have Rs. 1000 crore saving and that amount will used for public welfare.

Briefing about importance of past of Dahod Parel railway yard, Mr. Modi expressed determination of making it global and state of art.

He also lauded Gujarat Government for bringing water to the kitchens of Vanbandhus. He also appreciated for giving priority in budget for Irrigation and potable water Schemes. During his address he remembered Adivasi freedom fighters Govindguru and Birsa Munda of Dahaod.

Showing a great respect towards Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi, party workers of Dahod, Panchmahal and Mahisagar gifted him 67 kilogram silver on his 67th birth anniversary. BJP State president Mr. Jitubhjai Vaghani handed over the cheque worth Rs. 30.15 lakh, (Cost of 67 kg silver) to PM and PM handed over the same to CM Mr. Rupani for States Kanya Kelvani Nidhi.

It is worth to notice that, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi restores the tradition to deposit the Gifts received in the public events in treasure house (Toshakhana) as he did during his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister. The gifts received are publically auctioned and the amount received is being transferred to Kanya kelavani Nidhi in order to accelerate Girl Child Education.

During this program, Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani conveyed him best wishes for his birthday and expressed gratitude for celebrating his birth anniversary in Gujarat. Soon after Prime Minister Mr. Modi arrived at Limkheda Helipad, he along with Gujarat CM Vijaybhai Rupani reached to meeting place in open Jeep.
