Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today dedicated various projects of Banas Dairy in Deesa of Banaskantha and addressed a huge gathering about success story of hard-working made by Banaskantha farmers. PM Shri Modi described that the brave decisions made by the Union Government are only for national interest and interest of common people.
PM Shri Modi launched birth centenary year celebrations of late Shri Galbabhai Patel, popularly known as Galbakaka, a social activist and founder of Banas Dairy. He launched 500 ml bottle of ‘Ámul Deshi’ A-2 Cow Milk, derived from indigenous Kankrej cow breed. While introducing Banas Honey project, PM called it as ‘Sweet Kranti’ after ‘Shwet Kranti’ in the region. Shri Modi also dedicated new Cheese plant with daily 30MT capacity and Whey Powder plant with daily 45MT capacity worth Rs.350 crore at Banas Dairy as well as Kankrej cow breed conservation project. Launching of various farmer-centric projects by PM today has added another feather to the glory of Banaskantha.
PM Shri Modi considered the currency demonetization as the brave decision for national interest and said that Union Government is taking such tough decisions for all-round interest of 125 crore people of the nation. The opposition is only putting obstacles by making so-called protest. It is an important role of opposition to criticize the government in a democratic system. But, the protest against public developmental works as a part of politics is not appropriate.
Obstacles are being created in Lok Sabha, and the opposition know its’ reason. They are not allowing Lok Sabha proceedings because their bluff is going to be open. Thus, I have decided to speak my words in front of people not in Lok Sabha. This Government has taken the tough decision of demonetization to empower common people not for the wealthy people, he added.
Not needed to make queues in bank, but now on the banks will follow on the basis of e-payment and e-wallet and the new world of soft-cash will grab the anti-national activities such as corruption, terrorism and black money. We will have to defend our economy from the burden of hard currency. We are getting enormous response from people across the nation to grab anti-national activities such as terrorism, corruption and black money. The Union Government is taking tough steps for progress of common people. This government gave importance to nation interest, he added.
PM Shri Modi ended his speech and thanked people for joining hands with the mega campaign of demonetization undertake by the Union Government.
Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani welcomed all on the occasion of birth anniversary of the founder of Banas Dairy Late Shri Galbabhai Patel and said that today various projects have been dedicated by the Banas Dairy to make farmers economically stable. As a result Banaskantha district will become most prosperous district of Gujarat. With a vision of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, benefits of Jyotigram Yojna and water of Narmada have reached to the remotest areas of Banaskantha district. As a result, Banaskantha district became prosper today. More than 2800 check-dams and more than 700 water reservoirs have been made deeper. Banaskantha achieved first position across Asia in production of potatoes and pomegranates.
CM Shri Rupani added that, efforts are being carried out by the State Government for sales by making of potato chips and fries; so that farmers of Banaskantha get more income by value added products. He said that investment of Rs. 400 Crore will be done by NABARD and assistance of Rs. 5 crore will be done by State Government annually. State Government will provide assistance worth Rs. 26 Crore to increase the production of Bees and today MoU have been signed for the breeds of Kankrej cow.
Today is the day of development of Banaskantha District. State Government will make provision in the budget so that Narmada water can reach to Vadgam, Palanpur, Dhanera and Deesa in the coming times, he added.
CM Shri Rupani said that strong mindset is required to take the decision of demonetization, at that time PM has taken a tough decision to bring out black money from the nation in which also congress opposes. He expressed his confidence and said that people of the nation has welcomed and accepted the decision of demonetization and even Gujarat stands in the leading position in the field of cashless economy.
