    Gandhinagar, Saturday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, in the state level program of distribution of cheques to self-help groups of rural and urban areas held at Ahmedabad city on the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that Narendra Modi has made concerted efforts to reach the saturation point i.e. 100 percent of the beneficiaries.

    The Chief Minister added that in the previous government, scheme benefits were reaching to only a few people. While under the leadership of Narendra Modi, many scheme benefits like Ayushman card, old age pension, widow assistance have been reaching every door through direct benefit transfer and with the help of various means.

    In this state-level program held in Ahmedabad city, 2.20 lakh women from 22 thousand rural and urban self-help groups of the state were given assistance of Rs. 300 crores.

    Chief Minister further said that the people of Gujarat have put their faith in our government. The double engine government under the leadership of Narendra Modi has repaid this trust by developing comprehensively. Today, every class and community of the state has been included in the mainstream of development. As a result, today Gujarat has become the growth engine of the entire country’s development. Gujarat is playing an important role in the development of the country by attaining the leading position in every field of development.

    Chief Minister symbolically presented financial benefits to eight women of the self-help groups and said that women’s small savings play an important role in times of family difficulty. The habit of financial savings of women is always helpful in the family’s difficulties.

    The Prime Minister started the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign so that the daughters of the country can get maximum higher education. He started Shala Praveshotsav while in Gujarat, as a result of which the school drop-out ratio in the state has become negligible today. Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, the government of double engine has taken many efforts to empower women. Chief Minister appealed to the women of Gujarat to become atmanirbhar and help in achieving the goal of Atmanirbhar Gujarat to Atmanirbhar India.

    Under the program of ‘Vishwas thi Vikas Yatra’, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel launched various development projects in Ahmedabad and did virtual ground breaking of several projects. It includes, inauguration of newly built Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Auditorium by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in Vastral Ward of East Zone at a cost of 43 crores. Virtual ground breaking of Community Health Center constructed under PPP model of Thaltej area at a cost of Rs 7 crores and Medical College of Khokra area was named as Narendra Modi Medical College by Chief Minister.

    Ahmedabad City MP Shri Kirit Solanki, Hasmukh Patel, Ahmedabad City Mayor Shri Kirit Parmar, Vatva MLA and former Home Minister Shri Pradipsinh Jadeja, MLA Shri Suresh Patel, Deputy Mayor Gita Patel, Standing Committee Chairman Shri Hitesh Barot, Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Kumar, Principal Secretary, Rural Development Department Mrs. Sonal Mishra, AMC commissioner Shri Locan Sehra and a large number of sisters from self-help groups from the state were present.
