PM witnesses collective e-Gruhpravesh of beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana

    Under Pradan Mantri Awas Yojana the aim to construct 2,05,000 houses in the state will be achieved soon- Vijay Rupani 

    Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi, who is on a day-long visit to Gujarat, today dedicated 1,15,551 lakh residential units across 26 districts of the State built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (rural) at Jujwa village of Valsad Built at a cost of Rs 1,727 crore. “When the festival of Raksha Bandhan is around the corner, nothing can be better than getting a house as a gift. Just days before the festival, gifting a house as a brother to more than 1 lakh families’ gives great satisfaction to Me.” said Mr. Modi.

    Mr. Modi laid the foundation stone of a Rs. 586 crore water supply scheme, Astol group water supply scheme, for the benefit of interior villages in Dharmpur and Kaprada village of Valsad district. He distributed certificates and employment letters etc to select beneficiaries under various development schemes, including Deen Dayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushal Vikas Yojana, Mukhya Mantri Gramodaya Yojana and National Rural Livelihood Mission.

    Mr. Modi interacted with the beneficiaries of the housing scheme about the facilities like electricity, gas, toilet, and water supply and the families of the beneficiaries were requested to take care of the education of children, and especially of the girls. He said there is no place for the system of paying ‘commission’ in his government.

    Mr. Modi said that the responsibilities of drinking water and daily usable water of the house is on the heads of the women’s and so they have to face more problems and so I gift the Astol Water Supply Scheme to the women’s as a Raksha Bandhan gift. He said that, as the Chief Minister of Gujarat I aimed to provide drinking water trough tap in all the villages and houses from Umargam to Ambaji.

    In the Gir forest of Gujarat the Election Commission organizes special pooling booth just for one voter, which is noted by the world, said Mr. Modi. Similarly under the Astol Water Supply Scheme arrangement have been made to provide water to the village on the hills, approximately of 200 floored building.

    Mr. Modi also said that just in a span of one and a half year the works to provide electric connection to every house will be completed. We have solved the problem of darkness through UJALA Yoajan in every house. Facilities such as toilet, water, cooking gas, electricity, etc. reflect a radical change in people’s lives. He showed his dream that every family have own till 2022. Remembering Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee he said that planning is been made to connect every village with road under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana.

    Mr. Modi said in his government, “if Rs. 1 goes from Delhi, the entire 100 paise reach the house of the poor” for which he expressed his satisfaction.

    Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani on the occasion of e-Gruhpravesh of beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana at Jujwa village of Valsad said that the State Government has aimed to construct  2,05,000 houses in the State under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana which will be achieved soon.

    Mr. Rupani congratulated Prime Minister for implementing various public utility schemes and said that your schemes prove true feelings for the poor and makes realize the deep sensitivity.

    Mr. Rupani said that the State Government is organizing proper water supply so that the water crises become past for Gujarat. The Astol Water Supply Scheme will provide pure drinking water through tap to the people of Dharmpur and Kaprada village of Valsad district.

    Mr. Ruapni said that arrangement of facilities like roads; electricity, water etc are State Governments primary priority. The state government has made various plans for water supply at a cost of Rs.3000 crores.

    Expressing the blessings received by the Prime Minister, Mr. Rupani said that, we don’t make fake promises; we only speak that we can do. State Government does what it says. The beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) are given direct assistance of Rs.1.49 lakhs. We aim to provide food and shelter to all.

    Mr. Rupani on behalf of all Guajrati’s thanked Mr. Modi to visit Gujarat for various public welfare schemes and to dedicate residential units to the beneficiaries.

    Minister of State for Forest, Tribal and Tourism Department Mr. Ganpatsinh Vasava gave brief about the schemes for tribals, OBC, S.C/S.T. and the PESA Act in Gujarat.

    Minister of State for Water Supply Mr. Parbatbhai Patel gave brief about the work taken in hand to provide water in the tribal areas of Umargam to Ambaji.

    Minister of State for Rural Development Mr. Bachubhai Khabad in his occasional speech briefed about the Astol Water Supply Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
