    Gandhinagar, Friday: Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi said that the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center, (IN-SPACe) has the potential to revolutionize India’s space industry.

    The private sector will now play the role of Big Winner in the space sector. He further added that the strength of the space sector will be crucial for the bright future of the human community in the years to come.

    Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi inaugurated IN-SPACe at Bopal, Ahmedabad in the presence of Union Home Minister Shri Amitabhai Shah and Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.

    The MoU was concluded between 10 in-space and private sector startups.

    On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that one more chapter has been added to the development journey of modern India in the 21st century in the form of ‘IN-SPACe Head Quarters’. India will reach new heights in the space sector in the coming days.

    IN-SPACe will give an opportunity to the youth of India, India’s best mind to showcase their talent, whether in government or in the private sector, in-space will provide the best opportunity to all classes of people, said the Prime Minister.

    The Prime Minister said that the contribution of space technology in our lives has been steadily increasing. Space-tech is set to become the basis of a major revolution in the 21st century. Today, space technology is ‘Dur ni space nahi pan personal space’.

    He further added that space technology has become a part of the life of a common man. In addition to television, GPS, urban planning, groundwater projects, infra projects, coastal area planning, rain forecasting, natural disasters, advance information can be obtained with the help of satellites.

    Giving the motto of ‘IN-SPACe is for space’, ‘ IN-SPACe is for pace’, ‘IN-SPACe is for ace’, the Prime Minister said that today we all understand the importance of ‘Watch the Space’. India to play an important role in space tourism and space diplomacy in the near future.

    On this occasion, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Bhai Modi said that today only big ideas make a winner and we are all seeing a fresh example of this. By reforming the space sector and freeing it from all restrictions and supporting the private industry through IN-SPACe, the country today launched a campaign to make them winners.

    Addressing the youth, the Prime Minister said that there are endless possibilities in the field of space technology in our country, but with limited efforts it cannot be realized, so youth should come ahead in the field of space reform, government will fully support them.

    He added that the central government has been working tirelessly to create maximum ‘Ease of Doing Business’ environment in the Indian private sector. Not only that, he assured that this process of reform in the space sector would continue uninterrupted.

    On this occasion, the Prime Minister appealed to the teachers to make the students visit the Indian institutes and centers connected with space and also to make them aware of this.

    On the occasion, Union Home Minister Shri Amitbhai Shah said that with the inauguration of IN-SPACe Headquarters, India has achieved a great deal in the field of space.

    Two years ago, Narendrabhai dreamed of taking India forward in the space sector, creating an ecosystem of start-ups, private sector and youth research. The space industry sector will also become a significant contributor to the economy in the near future.

    Shri Amitabhai Shah further added that in policy making, Modiji has opened the innumerable possibilities in the space sector by bringing the biggest in 2014.

    Shri Amitabhai Shah asserted that today this small looking program will prove to be a big leap forward in the Indian space sector.

    While we are all witnessing the realization of Shri Narendrabhai’s vision, let us remember his exclamation, “Pratibha par koi bandhi na hoi shake, pachi te sarvajanik hoy k khangi”. Today, with the unveiling of IN-SPACe, PM has initiated an uninterrupted space journey to India.

    Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that by setting up an IN-SPACe headquarters in Ahmedabad, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Bhai Modi has opened the door to space exploration for private players.

    Students, teachers, private companies or businesses interested in space science will now be able to do space projects in partnership with ISRO. As a result of the Prime Minister’s guidance, India has made great strides in the fields of defense, space, research and development, startups and domestic production, he added.

    The Chief Minister said that the Prime Minister has added a new dimension of ‘Jai Anusandhan’ in the slogan of ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan and Jai Vigyan’. This motivating approach of the Prime Minister towards science and research has given a lot of impetus to organizations like ISRO in the country.

    On this occasion, he further said that during the eight years’ tenure of the Prime Minister, the people have realized good governance and development, the confidence of the poor people of the country in the government has been established. The research and development sector has got a new direction, so that the standard of living of the common citizen of the country is changing.

    The Chief Minister called on the great scientist Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, he described the old relationship between ISRO and Ahmedabad. As an MLA from Ghatlodia area, the Chief Minister thanked the Prime Minister for setting up an in-space headquarters in Bopal.

    Mr. Ajit Doval, National Security Advisor, Mr. Somnathji, Chairman, ISRO, Mr. Pawan Goenka, Chairman, In Space, Mr. CR Patil, Navsari MP, representatives of India’s space industry as well as officials and office bearers of IN-SPACe were present on the occasion.
