Prime Minister joins virtually from Shimla and interacts with the beneficiary-citizens across the country including Gujarat

    Gandhinagar, Tuesday: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually interacted with the beneficiaries of various poor welfare schemes of the Central Government from Shimla through ‘Garib Kalyan Sammelan’ organized under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

    The state level program of this ’Garib Kalyan Sammelan’ was held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar under the chairmanship of Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.  On this occasion, the Chief Minister clearly stated that, the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has continued its uninterrupted journey of achievement based on the five pillars of  service, good governance, welfare of the poor, innovation and determination.  He added that Gujarat is benefiting from the double engine government of the Central as well as the state in accelerating the pace of development. He further added that, comprehensive implementation of the schemes has made Gujarat a role model for development.

    CM said that, during the eight years of the government led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the Central has given a new direction to India for development. After eight years, Prime Minster Shri Narendra Modi’s government has become a symbol of faith, energy, hope and expectation.

    Chief Minister through describing the achievements of the eight years of the Central Government under the leadership of the Prime Minister said that, Shri Narendra Modi’s government has supported the poor, instilled a sense of security and self-respect in women. Infused immense energy in the youth. It has instilled confidence in the farmers and raised the confidence and expectations of the common man.

    Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has taken many important steps towards the transformation of 21st century India. The government is committed towards the upliftment of the poor and is determined to make the country a world leader. Governments are working with the mantra of overcoming every small and big problem of the poor. He also said that Prime Minister has successfully tried to raise the living standards of the poor through providing them facilities like health, gas connection, housing etc. Shri Narendra Modi’s government has taken care of each and every person  and has raised the bar of hopes of the poor  and enlightened them with confidence. A prominent leader like Shri Narendra Modi only can do such work. He added.

    CM elaborated on the benefits received by the beneficiaries under various schemes of the Central Government and obtained the details of the benefits received by them by interacting with some of the beneficiaries present in ‘Garib Kalyan Sammelan’. He interacted with the beneficiaries of Poshan Yojana, Nal Se Jal, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana as well as PM SVANidhi Yojana in Kutch, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, Ahmedabad district. CM requested all the beneficiaries to come forward to avail the benefits of schemes including loan assistance for education and higher studies for the children and to realize the mantra of ‘Sauno Saath’, ‘Sauno Vikas’ given by the Prime Minister.

    Welcoming the gathering at the beginning of the ‘Garib Kalyan Sammelan’, Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Kumar said that, the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi has completed eight years of good governance. As a part of which, the Prime Minister had a nationwide dialogue with the beneficiaries of various 13 welfare schemes of the Central government from Shimla. Under which the Prime Minister also held a dialogue with the beneficiary of PM Mudra of Mehsana in Gujarat. In Gujarat, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel,’Garib Kalyan Sammelan’  was organized at Mahatma Mandir.

    Along with this, ‘Garib Kalyan Sammelan’ were held at various district centres of the state in the presence of ministers.  In this program with the beneficiaries, Union Minister of State Smt. Darshana Jardos from Surat, External Affairs Minister Shri S.Jaishankar form Vadodara, Union Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya from Bhavnagar, Union Minister Shri Parshottam Rupala from Amreli and Union Minister of State Shri Mahendra Munjapura from Surendranagar including Cabinet members and approximately 1 lakh beneficiaries from across the state joined virtually.

    The Chief Secretary said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the Central Government has implemented 13 major schemes to raise the living standards of the common people in India.The Government of Gujarat under the leadership of  Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel is constantly striving to ensure that these schemes benefit the maximum number of people and change the standard of living. He said that details of benefits received from various schemes of Central Government in Gujarat including Swachh Bharat Gramin-Shaheri Mission Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, MGNREGA, PM Mudra Yojana, PM Wellness Centre, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Ujjawala Yojana and One Nation One Ration were given. The Chief Secretary also requested all the remaining beneficiaries to avail maximum benefits of the schemes.

    On this occasion Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Shri Hitesh Makwana, Gandhinagar District Panchayat President Shri Dilip Patel, Former Deputy CM Shri Nitin Patel, MLA Shri Shambhuji Thakor, Shri Balraj Singh Chauhan, Principal Chief Secretary to CM Shri K. Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Pankaj Joshi, Additional Chief Secretary of Agriculture Department Shri Mukesh Puri, Commissioner of Rural Development Department and Additional Rural Development Commissioner Shri Vishal Gupta as well as Collector in charge of Gandhinagar Smt. Surabhi Gautam were present. Apart from that, office bearers from all over the state, senior officers of the concerned department and beneficiaries of various schemes were present.
