    Gandhinagar, 24 September 2023, Sunday: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel graced the induction ceremony of the newly appointed team of the Ahmedabad Medical Association in Ahmedabad. Well-known pulmonologist Dr. Tushar Patel took charge as the president of the Ahmedabad Medical Association.

    Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel congratulated the newly appointed team of Ahmedabad Medical Association and emphasised that we should learn from criticism if we want to progress together as a society.

    Speaking about the changes in the medical sector in the state, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel highlighted that in the past, there were only 1375 seats available in the medical sector. However, today, the number has significantly increased to 7050 seats.

    Today, the entire country benefits from visionary leadership, which has brought about significant changes in numerous areas.

    Additionally, the Chief Minister announced that drawing inspiration from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we are preparing to host an upcoming Vibrant Summit. He went on to highlight that the Vibrant Summit has successfully established a global platform, attracting numerous industries and businesses to the state. As a result, Gujarat has emerged as the highest employing state in the country.

    In conclusion, the Chief Minister stated that in Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s era of development during the ‘Amrit Kaal’, we must all contribute to the goal of developed India by creating a developed Gujarat.

    On this occasion, the newly appointed President of the Ahmedabad Medical Association, Dr. Tushar Patel, expressed his gratitude to everyone for entrusting him with the presidency. He stated that the Ahmedabad Medical Association aims to create an environment where patients can seek diagnosis and treatment from doctors without any fear.

    Ahmedabad Medical Association extended its heartfelt appreciation to Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel for his instrumental role in realising two pivotal decisions. Dr. Tushar Patel emphasised that the Chief Minister’s efforts led to the enactment of the Impact Fee Act during a critical period when the hospital’s existence was threatened due to BU permission. Furthermore, the dialysis pricing in the PMJAY scheme has also been resolved. The Ahmedabad Medical Association conveys its sincere thanks to the Chief Minister for these impactful decisions.

    President Dr. Tushar Patel gave assurance and stated that the Ahmedabad Medical Association will cooperate with the government on public works. In the upcoming days, the Ahmedabad Medical Association, in partnership with the Indian Red Cross Society, will initiate the ‘Heartbeat Movement’ project. Under this project, approximately 1,70,000 students from classes 8 to 12 across 410 schools in the city will receive CPR training.

    In addition to this, the Ahmedabad Medical Association collaborated with NGOs as part of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s TB Free India campaign. With the support of the industry, they will provide nutritional food to approximately 4,000 patients in the city annually.
