    Gandhinagar, Saturday:  Under the chairmanship of Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat and  in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel and Education Minister Shri Jitu Vaghani,  2526 graduates and postgraduates alongwith  graduates and postgraduate diploma, Ph.D  including 96 students thus in total 2622 students were awarded degrees in the fifth convocation  ceremony of Indian Institute of Teacher Education-IITE and 3rd convocation ceremony of Children’s University held at Gandhinagar.

    The Governor of Gujarat Shri Acharya Devvrat congratulated the students who were awarded degrees in the convocation ceremony of Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE) and Children’s University. He said that  The more civilized the human being, the richer the world will be. He further said that There is no other work as sacred and great as that of a teacher. A teacher’s life is a means of education for a student. By saying that  children are the future of the country and youth are the present of the country Governor added that, The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendrabhai Modi established of Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE)  and Children University.

    Governor considered these two universities as organizations working with the goal of human development in the true sense.  The Governor said that from surrendering for the welfare of the world to becoming a duty bearer for the welfare of the nation and society with national supremacy, only the teacher can impart the rites.

    The land of Gujarat has given birth to many great men like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, Shyamji Krishna Varma, while the youth should take inspiration from the lives of these great men and strive to contribute towards the development of the nation with innovative ideas. The Governor requested the youth to realize their life goals with strength and passion. He said that a country in which nationalism is supreme in the hearts of its youth can create history in the world.

    The Governor also explained the importance of indigenous spirit and requested the graduating youth to contribute self-reliantly and wished the students well for a bright future.

    On this occasion Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel told the students that, Education is meaningful only when education and skills are used in the interest of the nation. These two universities, started by the then Chief Minister and present Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, are examples of unprecedented development in the education sector of the state. Due to his foresight, many sectoral universities are functioning in the state today, which are contributing to the formation of the youth of the state. IITE is working to prepare world class teachers.

    The talent of the youth is essential for the development of the state. Stating that institutions like IITE and Children’s University are working to reveal the heritage of traditional knowledge that we have, the Chief Minister wished the graduating students for a successful career.

    Education Minister Shri Jitu Vaghani wished the graduating students for a successful career and said, IITE and Children’s University established by the then Chief Minister and present Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi which is a matter of pride for all of us. On this occasion, the Education Minister announced important decisions regarding SCOPE examination, launching of ‘Safalya’ channel for free preparation of competitive examination, regarding TET-1 and TET-2 examination and for cadets of NCC-NSS.

    On this occasion, Governor and Chief Minister released coffee table book ‘Shikshan no Karma Yoga’ and ‘Sushasan Gatha’ showing important decisions of primary, secondary and higher secondary education department. To prepare for the competitive examination, the ‘Safalya’ channel broadcasted through BISAG was launched by the Chief Minister.

    Chancellor of IITE and Children’s University Dr. Harshad Patel in his  welcome address gave an outline of the University’s activities.

    On this occasion, Principal Secretary of Higher and Technical Education Department Shri  S. J. Haider, chancellors of various universities of the state, invitees, members of various statutory bodies of both the universities, donors, teachers, principals were present and wished all the graduating students for a successful career.
