Gandhinagar, Friday: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri. Amit Shah Virtual launched developmental works worth INR 56 crore at Mansa. In the ceremony Shri. Shah said, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the government has given utmost importance to development with the aim of establishing Gujarat as a leader in development. Shri Shah said that the ‘idea of development’ is important and its realisation is even more important. He expressed the belief that the connection of Malan-Chandrasan and Malav Lake in Mansa will raise the ground water level in Mansa and lead to a water revolution.
Union Home Minister Mr. Shah thanked the State Government, as a citizen of Mansa, for the development works of Mansa. So far, Central and State Government have done development works worth INR 1182 crores in Mansa.
The development works of Mansa area have changed the lives of the people through construction of 32 lakes, interconnection of 12 lakes, beautification of Chandrasan lake, construction of martyr memorial, Kali Mata Mandir at Ambod, construction of Mansa-Gandhinagar, Mahudi-Pundwa and Kalol-Mansa four-lane highway.
The Home Minister called this a historic event for Mansa. He also gave information about the planning to make the public multi speciality hospital of Mansa in the future.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has called upon MPs and members of the House to become more aware and proactive as people’s representatives. The Union Home and Cooperation always gives priority to the sentiments and demands of the people of his constituency and priorities the well-being of citizens. Due to this , Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad are reaping benefits of development. Shri. Amitbhai has always been determined for the development of his native Mansa.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel added that no development work has stopped in Gujarat today due to sufficient funds. Today, the Interlink and Recharge Borewell Project of 13 lakes at a cost of over Rs 17 crore and the Underground Drainage Project at a cost of Rs 26 crore have been finalised in Mansa. The Suez Treatment Plant, built at a cost of over Rs 8 crore, has been inaugurated. He gave the role that this plant will end the sewage disposal problem of Mansa.
Gujarat has heeded the Prime Minister’s call for the construction of Amrit Sarovar during Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Chief Minister said that the construction work of 75 Amrit Sarovar has been undertaken by the government in each district. Under that, today the historical Chandrasar Lake of mansa. The work of beautification is starting at a cost of more than 4.75 crores. Once this work is completed, the lake will become a tourist destination. Also, the ground water level will rise due to filling of Narmada river in this lake.
The water harvesting works from Amrit Sarovar have been accelerated. Government under Amrit 2.0 Rs. 1454 crore rupees have been provided in the budget. This amount will be used for works like water supply in towns and villages and lake development.
In order to build world class infrastructure in Gujarat, in the next 5 years in the budget, an expenditure of 5 lakh crores is planned in this year’s budget .
