Under Jan Vikas Zumbesh, CM distributes assistance to 70,000 beneficiaries in Khambhat Taluka

    Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today categorically that with a view to restore the historical status and reputation of Khambhat and revival of the Khambhat Port, a GIDC would be setup at Khambhat.

    This was announced by the Chief Minister while laying foundation stones for public amenities works, worth of Rs. 7.58-Crore, and dedicating four developmental works, worth of Rs. 5.27-Crore, in Khambhat Nagarpalika.

    On the occasion, as a part of ‘Jan Vikas Zumbesh’ (People’s Development Mission) (JVZ) undertaken by the Khambhat tehsil administration under the leadership of Anand District’s Collector Mr. R. G. Gohil, Mr. Rupani also made symbolic distributions of benefits of various government schemes to 30 beneficiaries. Under the JVZ more than 70,000 beneficiaries were given the benefits.

    Taking a dig at the rampant corruption during the Congress regime, Mr. Rupani pointed out that inspired by Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi; the state government has integrated technology in the system to establish transparency in the administration.

    The Chief Minister recalled that the state government had given historical assistance package worth of Rs. 3,795-Cr to the farmers who were adversely affected by the unseasonal rains in Gujarat.

    He also pointed out that in last three years, 125,000 youths were given government jobs. Another 35,000 youths would be recruited in year – 2020. Beside these, the state government has chalked out a plan to provide employment opportunities to more than 12-lakh youths in private, manufacturing, and service sectors.

    Mr. Rupani categorically stated that the state government has spent whopping amount of Rs. 1,400-crore to provide health security cover of Rs 5-lakh to each citizen of Gujarat under the Ayushman Bharat Yojna of the Central Government, and Ma Amrutam and Ma Vatsalya Schemes of the state government. Beside these, the state government is availing monthly pension of Rs. 12,000 to widow women under its Ganga Swaroop Assistance Scheme. In addition to these, the state government is determined to provide house and drinking water to each family by year – 2022, he added.

    Others who spoke on the occasion included, Member of Parliament Mr. Miteshbhai Patel, MLA Mr. Mayurbhai Raval.

    The event was also graced by MP Mr. Lalsinh Vadodiya, Former Ministers – Mr. Rohitbhai Patel and Mr. C. D. Patel and others.
