Union Home Minister Mr. Amitbhai Shah today assured Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani of all possible help to meet any situation emerging out of impending cyclone ‘Nisarga’ likely to hit South-Gujarat, and Bhavnagar and Amreli districts of Saurashtra region of Gujarat.
During a video-conference held from Gandhinagar, Mr. Shah had assured Mr. Rupani of extending all possible help from the Central Government to the State Government. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister had apprised in details to the Union Home Minister about the preparedness of the state government to face the ‘Nisarga’ cyclone.
Further, Mr. Rupani had also briefed Mr. Shah that as precautionary measures the state government has kept the NDRF teams ready and have also made preparations to shift the people living in low-lying areas, fishermen, saltpan-workers, and people working at Jinga farms to safer places.
The Video-Conference was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Nitinbhai Patel, Gujarat Home Minister Mr. Pradipsinh Jadeja, Chief Secretary Mr. Anil Mukim, and Mr. K.
