Gandhinagar, Sunday: Union Home and Co-operation Minister Shri Amit Shah said that, since the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he has established such a system of governance that citizens do not have go to the government with their demands but the government itself reaches out to the citizens with various schemes and plans. Harmony of government and society is the best example of an ideal democracy.
Elaborating on having Bharatiya Janata Party in majority in Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and having corporators in almost all the wards and Party offices are being started in all the wards of Gandhinagar Shri Shah said that, Citizens of Gandhinagar will not have to rush to the offices for their queries. The questions of the citizens will be resolved in three days. Citizens’ questions will be answered based on the capacity of the organization (Sangathan). Under the rule of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi the schemes/ plans of the government are taken to public by volunteers of sangathan and these volunteers also convey the problems of the society to the government.
Previous governments have only given slogans of ‘ Garibi Hatao’ (Eradicate Poverty), but have not been able to eradicate poverty. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has delivered the benefits of many government schemes to everyone in eight years which included providing gas stoves, opening of bank accounts of poor and needy people, Electricity, Toilets, Pure drinking water etc. About 60 crore people across India are getting free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh under the Ayushman bharat yojana. Benefits of many such schemes have reached the people.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has done all round development and all inclusive development. Whether it is a village, a city or a rural citizen living in a forest area, whether it is a corporation or a municipality, all have received the same facilities. This Gujarat model of development of the Prime Minister was discussed all over the country and that is why the entire country handed over the rule of the country to Shri Narendra Modi, said Shri Shah.
Shri Shah congratulating and conveying his best wishes to the citizens who have received houses in the draw of 134 houses of LIG and MIG schemes by Gandhinagar Urban Development Authority said that, all your problems get over and you become more wealthy and prosperous.
Union Home Minister and Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel today gifted developmental works of Rs. 279 crores in a single day which includes groundbreaking of Rs. 193.12 Crore and dedication of Rs. 85.89 Crore as well allotted 134 houses constructed by GUDA at a cost of Rs 13.18 crore through draw. Foundation stones have been laid for a total of 139.12 crore works of drainage system, water supply distribution network, sewage network in newly included Sughd, Bhat, Koteshwar, Amiyapur, Khoraj and Zundal in Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation.
In the last three years, various development works in seven assembly constituencies of Gandhinagar parliamentary constituency have been kept open for the citizens. Shri Shah congratulated Team Gujarat for providing Rs. 1984 crore works in Ghatlodia area, Rs. 1300 crore in Naranpura area, Rs. 561 crore in Vejalpur area, Rs. 634 in Sabarmati area, Rs. 788 crore in Sanand, Rs. 493 crore in Kalol and Rs. 2857 crore in North Gandhinagar.
Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that, Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Bhai Modi and under the guidance of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Bhai Shah, Gujarat has turned urbanization into an opportunity, not a challenge. Gujarat with 48% urbanization is also a leader in urban welfare. Gujarat has taken the direction of holistic development keeping in view the development of all sections of citizens, including the tribal sector, agriculture, space sector and every sector of development.
The CM said that Gujarat has provided basic facilities like housing, water, electricity, drainage, online tax payment to all under Ease of Living under the direction of the Prime Minister. Carrying on this tradition, Shri Amit Shah has gifted development works worth over Rs. 8600 crore in his constituency in the last three years.
The Chief Minister also said that a budget of Rs. 14297 crore has been allocated for the Urban Development Department for the overall development of cities and towns of the state.
Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Shri Hitesh Makwana said that, Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation is committed to increase the well-being of the citizens of Gandhinagar. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendrab Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, India has achieved global fame. Through sound planning and governance, Gujarat has done a remarkable job in the field of water conservation and water management in the last two decades. In which the works being carried out by the joint venture of Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and Guda for supplying pure drinking water in Gandhinagar and disposing it after purification of sewage water are increasing.
Gandhinagar Municipal Commissioner Shri. Dhaval Patel in his welcome address said that In order to increase the facilities of the citizens in Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation area, foundation stone of works of more than 193 crore have been laid today while developmental works of more than 85 crore have been dedicated.
