Gandhinagar, Friday: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah e-dedicates various public oriented development works newly constructed by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority ( AUDA) at an estimated cost of Rs. 154 crore in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.
Union Home and Cooperation Minister and Gandhinagar Lok Sabha MP Shri Amit Shah, who was present virtually on this occasion started his address by paying tribute to Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the occasion of his birth anniversary and Shri Savitribai Phule’s on the occasion of her death anniversary.
Shri Amit Shah further said that, The double engine government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel is committed to ensure that no person remains homeless in Gujarat. Today, Sanathal Overbridge will benefit many people as industrial development is spreading around Sanand. It is a pleasure that the demand of Sanathal Bridge has been fulfilled today. Today Shela village has constructed a drainage pumping station keeping in view the increasing population, so that the people of the village can benefit.He further added.
The Union Minister further said, Smart School is a platform to bring out the potential in a child. Smart school will bring a qualitative change in the education sector. While thanking the Corporation and the Municipal School Board he said that, Today there are 459 municipal schools in Ahmedabad in which the future of 1,70,000 children is being shaped up. Today, 28 schools out of 96 schools in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency have become smart schools. Addressing the people present, he said that, I assure that the development journey of Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency will continue uninterrupted.

On this occasion Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said, Under the leadership of the world’s most popular leader and our successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, we have brought everyone including the smallest, deprived, poor, marginalized people in the mainstream of development in Gujarat.
The politics of development developed by him with the goal of ‘Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas, Sauno Vishwas, Sauno Prayas’ is at the foundation of Gujarat’s development. He added.
Speaking further about the development of Gujarat, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said, Today, Gujarat has become the growth engine of the country’s development through good governance under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Shri Amit Shah. Gujarat has set new benchmarks of development in the last two decades by setting priorities and making policies in every sector of education, health, social services, agriculture, rural development. He further added that we have to move from advancement, enhancement and development towards the global trend of development.
Talking about various schemes and budget allocation for the development of Gujarat, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said, Our Prime Minister has set a target of a developed India by 2047. For this he has given special importance to infrastructure construction as a driving force in this year’s budget. The state of Gujarat has also allocated the largest budget in the history of the state this year of Rs. 3 lakh crore, in which it is planned to spend 5 lakh crore rupees in the infrastructure sector in the upcoming five years.
Talking about the development of Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, the Chief Minister said, Providing basic amenities and social security to the poor and needy is the first of the five pillars of development. Shri Narendra Modi and Shri Amit Shah have given the mantra of ‘Do what you say’. To make Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Constituency one of the best and greenest constituency in the country, the basic facilities and infrastructure development has been completed very quickly under the guidance of Shri Amit Shah. He further added.
Talking about Anupam Smart School, the Chief Minister said, Under the new education policy, unprecedented smart schools will play an important role in focusing on quality education, skill development and smart learning technology of the child. Smart schools have been started with the strategy of ‘Smart School, Smart Learning, Smart Kid, Smart Future’. Today, the reverse trend of taking admission in government schools from private schools has started with the smart and hi-tech education facilities available in government schools. A total of 28 schools have been made smart schools in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. As five more schools have been e-dedicated today, around 13000 children of this Lok Sabha constituency will benefit from these schools, he added.
Talking further about the projects launched today the Chief Minister said, A total of eight different development works that were e-dedicated in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha area today will increase public welfare in this area . Today, Gujarat has become a state with the best facilities of Multimodal transport including roads, highways, bridges. He further added that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, today we have entered the age of Amrit Kaal, the total development works of Rs. 154 crores launched today will revitalize the lives of the poor, needy, deprived in these areas.
Mayor Shri Kirit Parmar is his address said that Today, Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency is emerging as the most developed constituency in the entire country. He further said,Today, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar are making excellent progress by developing in various fields. He further added that Ahmedabad is becoming a hub in health, infrastructure and education sectors as well.
It is worth mentioning here that among the development works e-dedicated today in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha Constituency under the joint initiative of AMC and AUDA are Senior Citizen Park in Chandkheda Ward at a cost of Rs. 62 lakh and Senior Citizen Re-Creation Park in Nava Vadaj Ward, 5 Anupam Smart Schools at a cost of Rs. 7.38 crore, Pedestrian subway near GST crossing in Ranip at a cost of Rs. 4.39 crore.Five new anganwadis in Naranpura ward at a cost of Rs 40 lakh, overbridge at Sanathal Junction at a cost of Rs 97 crore, drainage pumping station and network at Shela at a cost of Rs 5.68 crore and under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana includes works for 468 homes at an estimated cost of Rs 38.58 crore at Bavla.
On this occasion, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Narhari Amin, MP Member Shri Hasmukh Patel, Municipal Commissioner Shri M. Thennarasan, CEO of AUDA Shri D.P. Desai, Standing Committee Chairman Shri Hitesh Barot, survey corporators, MLAs, and a large number of people including officers and office bearers of the Corporation were present.
