Union HM Shri Amit Shah inaugurates Gujarat’s first Audiology Speech Language Pathology college at Sola

Gujarat became the fifth state in the nation to start an Audiology Speech Language Pathology College

Gandhinagar, Saturday: Gujarat’s first Audiology Speech Language Pathology College and Nutrition Centre has been inaugurated by Union Home and Co-operation Minister Shri Amit Shah at Ahmedabad Sola Civil Hospital.

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, Health Minister Shri Hrishikeshbhai Patel & Minister of State for Health Smt. Nimishaben Suthar joined Union Home Minister during his one day visit to Gujarat.

Gujarat has become the fifth state in the nation to start Audiology Speech Language Pathology College at GMERS College. Shri Shah inspected and got the information of the newly constructed Audiology Speech Language College.

It is worth mentioning here that the functioning of audiology speech language pathology will facilitate the rehabilitation of patients suffering from congenital deafness, any hearing related problem, speech, comprehension and forgetfulness due to nervous system disease, paralysis and cerebral stroke.

Bachelor in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology) is a new undergraduate health oriented course after Std. 12 under ENT (Ear-Nose-Throat) Department of Sola Civil Hospital.

Free nutritious meals will be provided to the relatives of the hospitalized patients in the “Ahar Kendra” between 9:00 am to 01:00 pm started in front of Block “C” in Sola Civil Hospital.

On this occasion, Ahmedabad Mayor Shri Kiritbhai Parmar, Deputy Mayor of Ahmedabad Smt Gitaben Patel, Chairman of the Standing Committee Shri Hiteshbhai barot, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Shri Manoj Agarwal, Commissioner Shri Shahmina Hussain, Ahmedabad District Collector Shri Sandeep Sangle, Ahmedabad District Development Officer Shri Anilbhai Dhamelya, Dean of GMERS College, Dr. Nitin Vora Sola Civil Superintendent Dr. Deepika Singhal, a large number of health workers, officers and office bearers were present.
