USA Mumbai-based Consul Thomas Vajda pays courtesy call on Gujarat Chief Minister

Gandhinagar, June 15, 2017: The United States of America Consul General in Mumbai Thomas Vazda paid a courtesy call on Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani here today.

They discussed further scope of developing cooperation in manufacturing sector, as well as trade relations in the USA-Asia Pacific region, students’ exchange programme, training and research between elite universities in the two regions. They also discussed progress on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Cisco and Gift City for developing Internet of Things, Intellectual Property Rights, Mobiles Technology and Cloud Computing.

Mr. Vajda, who had assumed this office in 2014, discussed the US role as Country Partner during Vibrant Gujarat Summits in 2015 and 2017.

Those present during the meeting included Chief Minister’s Chief Principal Secretary Kailashnathan, Principal Secretary Industries Manoj Das, Chief Minister’s Secretary Ashwini Kumar and iNDEXTb Rajkumar Beniwal.
