Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today called on the civic bodies of the state to taken on the civic works like cleanliness, amenities and others as an internal competitions among them.
In this reference, Chief Minister expressed determination to have a strong coordination among district collectors, state government and concerned presidents, chief officers of nagarpalikas and commissioner of municipal corporations for speedy and transparent administration in availing amenities such as roads, sewerages, lights, water and others. For the purpose, he also suggested time bound reviews of the works of the municipal commissioners, presidents of municipalities and chief officers of all the four regions.
Through CM Dashboard, from his official residence in Gandhinagar, Mr. Rupani made detail reviews of public and welfares works of the nagarpalikas of the state.
Through CM Dashboard, Mr. Rupani pointed out the wastage of electricity done by several nagarpalikas by keeping LED lights on during the day-time, and cautioned that it cannot be tolerated.
Chief Minister also suggested raising the water tables by filling lakes of nagarpalikas with waters of sewerage water treatment (STP) or generating income resources by selling such recycled waters to industries.
In view of the forthcoming celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Gandhiji, Mr. Rupani inspired the towns of Gujarat to give specific priority to sanitation and cleanliness to make them front runner in the ranks.
