CM Shri Vijaybhai Rupani inaugurated & performed ground-breaking of various development works worth Rs.112.31-cr of Rajkot

    Terming the year 2020 as a war against Corona pandemic, Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today praised the entire administration for their efforts in curbing the transition of ‘Covid-19’ and  providing the  best medical treatment against Corona pandemic. The health sector has attained new landmarks in health infrastructure, health environment and other dimensions by converting the difficulty like ‘Corona’ into opportunity.

    He was speaking at a function organized to dedicate to people the development projects worth of Rs. 96.16-Crore and laying foundation-stone for developmental projects worth of Rs. 73.14-Crore  at Rajkot on the first morning of the  new year-2021.

    The Chief Minister categorically stated that even during the Corona pandemic times, the growth of Gujarat has continued its upward surge. During the last 10-months’ time, the foundation laying or dedication to people of the developmental projects, worth of Rs. 20,000-Crore, were done. He also expressed a determination the new year (2021) will witness a giant stride of development.

    Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi has gifted world class developmental projects to Gujarat. These projects included the world’s largest renewable energy park of 30,000 watts at Kutch, India’s largest ropeway, Kisan Suryodaya Yojana, Ro-Pax ferry for sea travel, India’s first sea-plane service, AIIMS and others.

    To embody the Mantra of ‘Survey Sukhin Bhavantu’, the Gujarat Government has chalked out various schemes covering many fields that include agriculture, irrigation, education, urban development and others.

    To ensure the constant growth in urban sector of Gujarat, a sort of history was created by making 300 TP Schemes and 40 DP Schemes in the last three years. Sincere works were done in Gujarat for the development of well-planned urban cities with amenities such as water, environment and electricity, Mr. Rupani added.

    Stating that the stringent implementation of law and order is an important aspect for the holistic development of the state, the Chief Minister said that the strict laws have been formulated for caw-slaughter, liquor-prohibition, land grabbing and others and through their appropriate implementations Gujarat has setup a new path of peace, safety and all-round development.

    Giving details of development works undertaken by the state government in various fields for the uninterrupted development of Rajkot, the Chief Minister said that many projects including International Airport, Bus-port, Six Lane, Four Lane Roads, AIIMS, Multi-speciality Hospitals, Navi Janana Hospital, and other have been undertaken in Rajkot district. These developments will take Rajkot to a new height of all-round development in the coming days.

    Others who spoke on the occasion included Mr. Yogeshbhai Patel – Minister of State for Narmada and Urban Housing Development Department.

    On the occasion mementos were handover to Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani and Minister of State Mr. Yogeshbhai Patel by other dignitaries.

    A documentary narrating the developmental projects in Smart City Rajkot was also screened.

    A special scheme giving 80 per cent concession in bus fares to construction workers for going to their work places was launched by handing over the concession pass to beneficiaries by the Chief Minister.
