Chief Minister digitally dedicates and lays foundation stone for 16,359 works worth Rs.3,338 crore

Gandhinagar, Thursday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel in a statewide program ‘Vishwas Thi Vikas Yatra’ at Science City in Ahmedabad said that, Today, Gujarat has proved to be the leading state in terms of development in the country. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has laid a strong foundation for development. Due to this strong foundation of development, Gujarat has been able to achieve a prominent stature in the country today. He added.
Chief Minister digitally dedicated and laid foundation for 16,359 developmental works worth Rs. 3,338 crore during the second phase of Vishwas Thi Vikas Yatra program. In this program all districts of the state joined virtually in this program.
While mentioning that Gujarat is the leader when it comes to development Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Gujarat has been able to achieve new dimensions of development.
Chief Minister said that it has been the approach of the state government to have the same facilities in the villages as in the cities. Due to its effective implementation, today the same facilities which exists in the cities have also been extended to the villages.
The Chief Minister said, Defense Expo which is currently going on. Gujarat is also keeping up the pace with the country in the field of defence, which is a matter of pride for us. The Chief Minister said that Shri Narendra Modi recently launched 5G technology. Gujarat is marching ahead with the use of advanced technology. Not only this, advanced technology is also being used in the state for development works and public welfare works. As a result, while Army tanks are being manufactured in Dahej today, the days are not far when aeroplane parts will also be manufactured soon in Rajkot.
He added that, Recently, the country’s largest education campaign Mission School of Excellence has been launched by the Prime Minister from Gujarat.
Referring to the health facilities, he added, A Dialysis Centre established at each Taluka Headuarters and a Day Care Chemo Therapy Centre established at the District Headquarters are operational so that the citizens of the state can avail treatment as and when required.
Chief Minister further said that the government is working to deliver the fruits of development to all sections including women, children, Dalits, underprivileged, tribals and students as well as farmers. 36 lakh women have ben provided with gas connection in the state. Apart from this, assistance of 5.55 crores has been given to 14 lakh girls through Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana.
Gujarat for the last 3 years ranks first in the country in the startup sector encouraging students. Along with providing the largest historical budget, Gujarat also ranks first in financial planning according to NITI Aayog. All arrangements have been made in the state to ensure that the pace of development does not disrupts even after the pandemic.
The Chief Minister added that, Along with development in Gujarat, preserving our heritage has also been prioritized by the Gujarat government. Pilgrimages including Ambaji, Somnath, Pavagadh and Dwarka have already undergone a complete transformation. He added.
Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Kumar in his welcome address said that In the last 20 years, the state government has undertaken development works keeping the people at the centre. Emphasis has been placed on the policy of good governance for the development and upliftment of the people. Under the leadership and guidance of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Gujarat is taking new directions of development. He said, Vikas Yatra was started 1 month ago. Today the second phase covers more than 16,000 works at a cost of over 2600 crores. Gujarat has filled the gap in the direction of development at a rapid pace.
Shri Pankaj Kumar further said that, Under the guidance of the Chief Minister Gujarat is achieving an unparalleled pace of development. 50 lakh Ayushman cards have been issued in the state. The positive effects of the Vidya Samiksha Kendra are clearly visible across the country. Also, Gujarat has been a leader in the implementation of ‘Nal Se Jal’ scheme. He added.
It is worth mentioning that in the last few months, the state government and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have dedicated development works at the cost of thousands of crores to the people of Gujarat. Chief Minister has added another leaf to it by gifting developmental works to the people of Gujarat.
On this occasion Ahmedabad Primary Education Committee also inaugurated a total of 31 newly constructed schools at a cost of ₹ 54.13 crore.
In the statewide program of ‘Vishwas Thi Vikas Yatra’ organized at Science City, Ahmedabad. MP shri Hasmukh Patel, MLA Shri Pradeepsinh Jadeja, Mayor Shri Kirit Parmar and Chief Secretary Mr. Pankaj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary General Administration Department Shri A. K. Rakesh, Chairman of Standing Committee of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Shri Hitesh Barot, including district administration and officials of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and a large number of citizens of Ahmedabad district and a large number of people from the district and taluka levels of the state joined virtually.
