‘Want to take Gujarat to newer height with enhancement of exports’ – Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani

    Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today categorically stated that the state government has been focusing on increasing the export from Gujarat with an aim to take the state to a new height in exporting. For this, the state government is offering sufficient space to the traders and exporters by making conducive environment and favourable changes in policy to increase the exports.

    He was speaking at a function jointly organized by Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rajkot, and Federation of Saurashtra-Kutch Chamber of Commerce Industries, in Rajkot.

    The Chief Minister further stated that all the positive suggestions and representations made by the traders have been resolved by the government; and it is open-minded if there are any more questions. Even when there was no demand from the people, yet, we have taken several self-initiatives of public-welfare to resolve the people’s problem. Our government has made public decisions on the basis of empathy, transparency, decisiveness and progressiveness.

    Mr. Rupani said that, “We have just one Mantra, which is: Growth of Gujarat. To fulfil the dream envisaged for India by Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi through ‘Made in India’ we want to make developments through ‘Made in Gujarat’. We aim to make Gujarat a leader in ‘Aatmanirbhar India’ vision of Mr. Modi.’

    The Chief Minister also pointed out that no price hike has been imposed on electricity given to farmers in last25 years; with maintaining the rate at Rs 0.60 per unit. Solar policy can be very useful for Gujarat industrialists and traders to reduce production cost. Mr. Rupani called upon Gujarat to take more advantage of the solar policy and take the lead in the production of renewable energy.

    Those who spoke on the occasion included Mr. Natubhai Patel – President of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. V. P. Vaishnov – President of Rajkot Chamber of Commerce.
